Justin Bieber‘s dad is celebrating becoming a grandfather for the first time, following the arrival of his son’s first child with Hailey Bieber, a baby boy named Jack. 

‘Papa’ was the comment Jeremy Bieber, 49,  wrote on X August 24, perhaps referring to the name he wants his grandson to call him.

The Yummy singer, 30,  announced he had become a father the day before writing, ‘WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER,’ next to a sweet photo of the baby’s foot in a fuzzy blanket.

Justin’s wife Hailey, 27, re-shared the photo in her Instagram Stories.

The name continues a Bieber family tradition of naming kids with the initials JB. Justin has a half-sister named Jazmyn, 14, and a half-brother, Jaxon, 16.

The name honors his grandfather, Jeremy's middle name is Jack

The  little one was also named for his granddad. Jeremy’s middle name is Jack.

Justin’s mother Pattie Mallette, 49, re-shared the sweet snap in her Instagram Stories and penned an enthusiastic ‘OH MY HEART. WELCOME BABY JACK!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!’

‘THANK THE LORD[,] WHAT A MIRACLE!’ she concluded.

Mallette continued to share her glee on X writing, ‘CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey,’ tagging her daughter-in-law.

‘I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK!!’

Hailey’s parent’s were elated as well. Her dad Stephen Baldwin, re-shared Mallette’s tweet, adding his own ‘Amen, Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family.’

Hailey and Justin married in a courthouse ceremony in New York City in September 2018. They walked down the aisle in a more formal ceremony for family and friends a year later.

They announced they were expecting in May.

In an interview with the Sunday Times in May 2023, the model admitted she was scared of having children due to the way she was often trolled on social media.

‘I literally cry about this all the time, she told the outlet.

‘I want kids so bad but I get scared. It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child.’

‘We can only do the best we can to raise them,’ she added, ‘As long as they feel loved and safe.’
