Five-year-old girl goes viral after recreating Cardi B’s fierce Met Gala look – and the female rapper immediately did something special for her

Cardi B may have been one of the celebrities to steal the show at Monday night’s Met Gala, which had a theme of Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, but one little girl is giving the 25-year-old rapper a run for her money.

The caption read: ‘We all know the Met Gala was last yesterday evening! And each and every year, @aili_in_town picks her favorite from the red carpet!! Can you guess who her favorite was this year!?’

Cardi B took notice of the the fashionable child and posted the picture of Aili to her Instagram account alongside the caption: ‘@aili_in_town soooo bute I want mines already.’

The rapper only confirmed her pregnancy last month during a performance on Saturday Night Live where she wore a chic, skintight dress, which showed off her baby bump.

By the time she made her appearance on the red carpet at the Met Gala, she had reached the seven month mark in her pregnancy, and appeared to let slip during an interview at the event that she is due to give birth to a baby girl.

‘Shorty weighs three and a half pounds,’ the mom-to-be told the New York Times while describing the weight of her dress and the heaviness of her baby, before going on to refer to the child as a ‘she’.

‘She do. She do weigh three and a half pounds,’ the rapper added. ‘That’s pretty good for seven months, right? Because I was born five pounds.’

But until the birth of her own little girl, it would seem like Cardi has no qualms about admiring the cuteness of the five-year-old along with fans of both the rapper and Aili.

Since Cardi shared the repost yesterday, it has garnered more than one million likes and comments from people saying Aili ‘rocked’  and ‘nailed’ Cardi’s look.

One person wrote: ‘She rocked it better than anyone’ while another person said: ‘Nailed it!!! Cute!!!’

And one person commented: ‘Love this seriously adorable’ and another person said: ‘I know that’s right babygirl! You better work!!!’ while another commented: ‘I am seeing double okuuuurrr.’

This isn’t the first time Aili has emulated a look from the Met Gala because last year, she recreated Zendaya’s Dolce & Gabbana ball gown with her very own rendition of the aesthetic complete with the hairdo and pose.

The 21-year-old actress even shared the photo of Aili recreating her look to to her own Instagram account with the caption: ‘Please look at this little princess.’

Unfortunately, it looks like fans will just have to wait until next year to see whose look Aili will imitate but luckily, in the meantime, they can take a scroll through her Instagram where she can be seen serving up major sass.

The looks range from her posing in front of fire trucks, taking a stroll in print flats and a black floppy hat and wearing a ‘Girl-Power’ T-shirt with large, circular shades.
