Anthony Joshua has shared a video of himself undergoing ‘hot cupping’ treatment as he looks to gain every possible advantage before his expected fight later this year.
The heavyweight is currently searching for his next opponent after defeating UFC superstar Francis Ngannou in March – with Daniel Dubois likely next up.
Since suffering his agonising back-to-back title losses against Oleksandr Usyk in 2021 and 2022, Joshua has pieced together an impressive four-fight winning run.
But, judging by a video posted online showing him covered in suction cups, there are no signs of him slacking off during his preparations for his future bout.
In the clip posted on Instagram, Joshua was seen covered in hot cups.

Joshua is expected to face Daniel Dubois later this year with Wembley likely to host the bout
The camera slowly panned around the whole of his body, revealing cups holding his skin in painful-looking bunches across much of his torso and neck.
Somehow, however, Joshua appeared nonplussed despite the invasive procedure.
Hot cupping is believed to date back as far as Egypt in 1550 BC. It is said to relieve pain and inflammation by increasing blood flow and massaging deep tissue.
Cups are heated and placed on the body, creating a vacuum while they cool.
Athletes undergoing the treatment typically see their skin begin to redden and rise as their blood vessels expand – but sore marks are left over as a result.

Medical experts have recommended treating these marks to prevent infection.
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn, meanwhile, has revealed he is keen to set up the fight against Dubois at Wembley Stadium this September.
An agreement has not yet been reached, though, with Hearn saying: ‘We’re focused on fighting Dubois for the world title at Wembley but it is not all agreed.
‘There’s still work to be done by 100 per cent myself, His Excellency, George Warren, Spencer Brown, we’re all working together to make it happen.’
Joshua had been ringside to watch Dubois beat Filip Hrgovic in Saudi Arabia in June.
