The divorced couple’s eldest child lashed out at Kim for having loads of staff rather than a simple life.
Kim Kardashian has opened up about the struggles of co-parenting and being compared to her ex-husband.
She sat down with her sister Kourtney during the latest episode of The Kardashians and explained how her eldest daughter views the twin households.
Kim has a stunning, minimalist home that has everything you could possibly imagine, as well as security, nannies and a chef to whip you up whatever you want.
However, it seems like Kim and Kanye’s eldest daughter prefers spending time at her dad’s place.
Kim told Kourtney about North West: “She’ll be like, ‘Dad is the best, he has it all figured out. He doesn’t have a nanny, he doesn’t have a chef, he doesn’t have security. He lives in an apartment’.
“And she’ll start crying, ‘Why don’t you have an apartment? I can’t believe we don’t have an apartment’.”
You can feel Kim is frustrated at not being able to satisfy North’s desires even though she has everything a kid could dream of at her mansion.
She went on to say how North constantly praises her dad for making their own food when they spend time with him.
Kim sarcastically said: “That’s amazing that you make ramen, you know?”
However, this is something Kourtney completely relates to.
She told Kim it’s a very similar situation in her co-parenting with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.
“They do that at Scott’s too,” the pregnant reality TV star explained.
“‘Dad has the best house, your house sucks. He has the best house. It’s not super big, the vibe’s better’.
“I feel like everything falls on the parent that’s more involved.”
Funnily enough, Kanye spoke about having a dialled down household in a song he released with The Game.
He also says: “When you give ’em everything, they only want more/Boujee and unruly, y’all need to do some chores/Rich-a** kids, this ain’t yo’ mama house/Climb on your brother’s shoulders, get that Top Ramen out.”
Kim has previously explained that no amount of help can replace real parenting.
She said in another episode: “Obviously, having nannies and a chef to help cook is beyond helpful.
“It’s all about family and enjoying these moments. It takes a village to raise kids, but at the end of the day, your kids only want you.”
