The tennis champ is no stranger to making headlines and this latest reason is just further proof of that.

Serena Williams is used to being in the news for her amazing athleticism. But thanks to some fairly recent photos, she’s making waves for a whole other reason — one that’s resulted in more than a bit of speculation.
The 23 time Grand Slam winner found herself the topic of conversation due to a couple posts she made to her official Instagram that show off her new look and some noticeable weight loss. The first was a video taken in Miami during Art Basel in early December where the tennis champ was hosting an activation for her beauty brand Wyn Beauty in tandem with Meta, formerly known as Facebook.
In the footage, Williams is dancing and laughing in a fitted Nike tennis dress and neon green shorts. While she’s sporting her signature blonde hair, it’s her slimmed down figure that got people to talking.
“U lost weight sis looking good,” wrote one user in the comments on Instagram.
“That Ozempic weight loss medicine ain’t no joke,” said another.
If Williams is on Ozempic, she joins more than a handful of celebs who’ve also decided to partake of the popular weight loss drug and other similar semaglutides that have been taking over Hollywood seemingly all year.
“She looks great. Slightly thinner but still very toned,” another wrote.
In another photo, Williams posted up in a private plane working on her laptop with a more messy hair look, but it was her noticeably slim arms that had everyone curious and wanting to know just how she appeared so snatched.
“She losing a lot of weight?” questioned one user in her comment section.
“Why is everybody so skinny all of a sudden?” another user inquired.
“Thinrena back down to her 2012-2014 body. I need to see her on court. I miss Servrena,” another user wrote.
However, there were others who put their support behind the tennis great with one user in particular gathering other commenters for having something to say about her body when she was more muscular and thick and now that she’s slimmer.
“First you all are complaining about how big she is and how much muscle she has. Now when she is slimming down u all still have something to complain about. Get a life. As long as her Husband is happy and she is fine with herself nothing else matters,” the user wrote.
Added another in defense of the slimmed down Williams sister: “Let her be people. It’s her body, her life. She can take Ozempic if she wants and has the money to buy bucket loads of Ozempic. She is still the Tennis Goat.”
