Skylar Diggins-Smith wishes she could have this moment back.

An incident involving Skylar Diggins-Smith of the Seattle Storm during their preseason game against the Los Angeles Sparks has sent WNBA fans into a frenzy on Twitter. Before the game started, the 33-year-old point guard was heard discussing her aging process with the Sparks’ Kia Nurse.

In response, the 28-year-old Kia Nurse was heard saying that even she has grown old and will soon be 30:

“I am 28 now. I am almost 30.”

Diggings-Smith had a wild response shortly afterward:

“But my p—y is old, older.”

Kia Nurse got excited and nearly started laughing. Then, in a comical move, she shoved Skylar Diggins-Smith aside. The conversation, which was recorded via the player mic, has been trending on Twitter.

There is a lot of excitement for this season of the WNBA, which began a few weeks ago, due to the arrival of a strong rookie class that includes Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark, and Kamilla Cardoso. By placing microphones on the players, the league is also attempting to satiate the desire of both new and seasoned basketball fans for additional behind-the-scenes footage.

Diana Taurasi and Skylar Diggins-Smith have no love for each other.

Their rivalry dates at least to May 17, 2022, when the two, who were teammates with the Mercury, were spotted fighting on Phoenix’s bench during the team’s fifth game of the year. The reason behind the argument between the two players remained a mystery, however People magazine questioned the team’s relationship, while Phoenix’s then-coach Vanessa Nygaard attributed it to playing the game with passion.

Diggins-Smith missed the next two games for the Mercury after the altercation. Taurasi, who was 39 years old at the time, was not selected for the WNBA All-Star Game, whereas Diggins-Smith was, via her Wikipedia.

After that, Diggins seemed to take exception at Nygaard’s remarks that the All-Star Game wasn’t really an All-Star game “because Diana Taurasi wasn’t playing.” Diggins-Smith responded to a video of Nygaard’s remark with a clown emoji in a since-deleted tweet.
