The Milwaukee Bucks had a disappointing end to their season after a first-round exit from the NBA playoffs. Malik Beasley’s season had a similar theme as it ended abruptly following a promising start.
In the offseason, he’s looking ahead to the next season, but his wife, Montana Yao, is taking over social media with her skills.
In a recently posted IG video, Montana was seen rapping a song written by herself. Her husband didn’t waste time showing his admiration and support for Montana and commented, “Love you tremendously.”
The couple were married in 2020, but things soon hit a rough patch. Just months after their marriage, Malik Beasley was seen holding hands with Larsa Pippen in Miami.
Yao filed for divorce in 2020 and claimed she was asked to leave the house with her son, Makai.
Ultimately, things turned for the better as Pippen moved out, claiming she knew nothing about Beasley being married after the scandal went public. Since then, the couple are still together; by the looks of it, Yao has healed from the shocking trauma.
For Beasley, a big decision is on hand in the summer as the 27-year-old guard enters free agency.
Malik Beasley Is a Prominent Free-Agency Target
After his move from the Lakers to the Bucks in 2023, Beasley settled in quickly into the Milwaukee system. Malik averaged 11.3 points per game in 79 games with 44.3% shooting.
Most appearances were from the start, so given his role-player duty, his contribution was steady.
Now that he’s set for free agency, multiple franchises are looking at the role player. According to reports, the Golden State Warriors want to sign the free agent.

Another source of notable interest comes from the Rockets. Though the Bucks might convince Beasley with a new contract due to his impact this season, chances are teams with higher cap space will capitalize on it.
Beasley’s addition could provide a team with shooting efficiency paired with a decent defensive shift. With a long summer still ahead, expect things to get interesting for Malik Beasley.
