On Wednesday’s First Take, Stephen A. Smith took a time to address the strange allegations circulating about him and host Molly Qerim being romantically involved.
Chris “Mad Dog” Russo made a joke at the start of the performance claiming that since they were both wearing white, they had recently been married. Smith admitted that although Molly Qerim and he looked nice, Russo’s remark was merely jest.

Smith said, “No, there’s nothing going on!” “You understand what I’m saying? America’s been lying about that for a couple years.” People actually believe the rumor, according to Molly Qerim’s addition. Russo replied,
“Oh, they sure do,” “I get asked all the time, ‘How’s the famous couple doing?’”
Smith couldn’t wait to hear this as he had a cringe response waiting to praise himself. He said,
“But here’s the upside to all of that,” “They know my taste, so therefore they know that’s a compliment to her; and obviously, she has great taste, as well. So I guess that’s America’s way of saying we both really, really look good.”
“But,” “it does mean that First Take not only is the no. 1 show because of our content. We look the part.”
