Back in 2016, Cassie Ventura was photographed just two days after a violent altercation with her then-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs. The model and singer attended the red carpet premiere of her movie “The Perfect Match” on March 7, 2016, where she appeared to have several bruises.

At the event, Ventura wore a sleeveless dress that seemed to show a bruise on her upper left arm. Later, she changed into a mini dress, revealing more bruises on her legs.

The incident occurred at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, California, where Combs allegedly attacked Ventura.

Footage released by CNN on Friday shows Combs violently throwing Ventura to the floor by her neck and kicking her as she attempted to reach the elevator. He then grabbed her belongings, kicked her again, and dragged her by her black hoodie.

After placing her belongings back in their hotel room, Combs returned to shove Ventura to the floor and hurled what appeared to be a vase at her.

“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs,” Ventura’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, told Page Six.

“Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

The lawsuit provides details about the altercation

This altercation is detailed in the abuse and rape lawsuit Ventura filed against Combs in November 2023. According to her lawsuit, the incident occurred after Combs became “extremely intoxicated” and punched her in the face.

“He grabbed at her and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape,” it read.

Ventura’s filing also describes her attempt to escape their hotel room after Combs fell asleep. However, he awoke, noticed her absence, and chased her into the hallway while screaming.
