Diddy’s Career Faces Turmoil as Disturbing Video Emerges

A surveillance video from 2016 has surfaced, capturing rapper and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs in a violent altercation with his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. The footage, which aligns with Cassie’s claims in a recently settled federal lawsuit, shows Diddy physically assaulting her in a hotel hallway.

The incident, dated March 5, 2016, took place at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. In the video, Cassie is seen leaving a hotel room and heading towards the elevators. Moments later, Diddy, wearing only a towel, rushes after her, grabs her by the neck, and throws her to the ground. He then kicks her twice before dragging her briefly by her sweatshirt.

Cassie eventually gets up, gathers her belongings, and attempts to use a hallway phone. Diddy returns, throws an item at her, and confronts her again as someone exits the elevator. Cassie did not comment on the video, but her attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, stated that the footage corroborates her allegations of Diddy’s abusive behavior.

Cassie’s lawsuit, filed in November, described a history of abuse and coercion during their relationship, which spanned from 2007 to 2018. Diddy has denied all allegations, and the lawsuit was settled the day after it was filed. The settlement details remain confidential.

Despite Diddy’s denial, the video has sparked outrage. Rapper 50 Cent and others have condemned Diddy, with 50 Cent sarcastically referencing the video on social media. Cassie’s husband, Alex Fine, also voiced strong criticism, advocating for respect and protection for women.

The video and lawsuit add to a series of recent accusations against Diddy, who is currently under investigation for various crimes, including human trafficking. His legal team has called the searches of his properties excessive and maintains his innocence.
