Basketball’s most anticipated rubber match right now is sending ticket prices through the roof. Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark will meet for the third time ever in Indianapolis on June 1 as Reese’s Chicago Sky come to town, and fans will have to pay more than $100 on the secondary market to attend.

The Fever reportedly sold out the upper deck in less than 20 minutes last month despite opening tickets at twice the price of the local Pacers NBA franchise. For the best glimpse at Reese and Clark going head to head, fans can expect to pay $2,000 for courtside tickets in June.

Reese and Clark hardly balk at top billing these days, helping kickstart a revolution in women’s basketball and becoming two of the most popular athletes across the sporting world.

Clark forged her unmatched collegiate legacy at Iowa, where the five-star recruit immediately found success in Lisa Bluder’s high-octane offense. The Iowa native averaged nearly 27 points per game for the Hawkeyes her freshman season, and after winning the Big Ten the following season Clark finally broke through in the postseason her junior season.

The Hawkeyes waltzed through the first two weekends of the 2023 NCAA Tournament before a well-placed stone from their slingshot downed Dawn Staley and women’s basketball giants South Carolina, setting up a blockbuster national championship with Reese, legendary coach Kim Mulkey and LSU.

Reese arrived in Baton Rouge after two seasons at Maryland and continued a breathtaking March Madness run — the ‘Bayou Barbie’ averaged 22.6 points and 16.2 leading into the Iowa game and earned Tournament MVP awards after defeating the Hawkeyes — and contributed to remarkable ticket prices at the 2023 Final Four, with an all-session ticket costing at least $300.

“I really think the sky’s the limit. I don’t know if ticket prices are as indicative because ours is in an actual basketball arena, and they’re playing in a football stadium. I don’t know how much that affects it,” Clark about the demand for the 2023 Final Four. “But I think it shows the demand that people want to be here and be in the arena that seats 20,000 people. More than anything, I’m just lucky and we’re just lucky to get to play on a stage in front of so many people that love the game and want to watch our game.”
