Angel Reese was recently awarded the top WNBA rookie of Week 1, by fans and media personnel, via I Talk Hoops on X. While Reese had a phenomenal week for the Chicago Sky in her introduction to the league, fans are triggered by the Caitlin Clark snub.
Reese finished the week averaging 11.5 points and 8.5 rebounds. She was a rebounding machine, thriving on the offensive glass. Reese was able to make an instant impact that contributed to winning for the Sky.
She didn’t have the flashy highlight plays that a player like Clark produced, but Reese was a consistent option for Chicago.
Clark ended the week with the highest average of all rookies at 17.0 points. She may have been able to find the bottom of the net at a higher rate, but Clark’s efficiency and winless record puts her at No. 3 on the list.

Fans across social media were livid with the ranking, having Clark as the No. 3 player. They believe that Reese also struggled with shooting percentages and turnovers, which Clark gets major scrutiny for.
Cc #3😂😂😂

CC has better stats and some how isn't voted 1st? Wtf. I doubt this is accurate. CC is part of a very small number of players who have reached 50 pts in the first 3 WNBA games and isn't first? I don't believe this at all.
