Angel Reese is feeling more than welcomed by Chicago, quite literally. After sharing a “crazy” fan encounter, the No. 5 rookie has another story to tell. While she is not exactly minding how her fans get star-struck seeing her on the Windy City streets, she clearly has some limitations. Similarly, her fans and followers on the internet are also on her side with this latest “weird” experience.

The Chi-Town Barbie felt like she needed to get something off her chest tonight. Hence, taking it to her official X account, she tweeted, “i think taking a picture of somebody car & posting it on social media is the weirdest thing ever. having security or not i just wanna know what do you get from that??”

Some fans must have taken a photo in front of Reese’s dream car worth $183,000, the AMG G-Class SUV by Mercedes-Benz. While we do not have the information regarding the same, it looks like only that could have pushed the rather friendly rookie to post a question like that.

According to her, she has been out and about in the city ever since she stepped here. Hence, it is understandable why a Bayou Barbie fan would want a memorable photo. Nevertheless, the internet is not exactly aligning with the practice as they showed their support to Angel Reese on this.

“Protect Angel”: fans get protective of Angel Reese

Despite only being a rookie, the 2023 NCAA champion is a popular face. Hence, moving out and about freely can be quite tricky. This, in turn, not only raises security concerns but also the need for privacy. One X user mentioned just that. The new faces of the WNBA have been getting into fan trouble quite a lot recently. They didn’t just ask for her safety but asked everyone to protect her.

A basketball follower also mentioned that this type of behavior is not normal. They stated that just because she is a celebrity does not mean she does not want some space for herself. They also requested Chicago Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon’s latest recruit to stay strong and safe in the streets of the Windy City.

One basketball enthusiast suggested that they have personally been tagging concerned people in the W. This is to create a safety measure for the players. In their comment, they straight up tagged the official X accounts of the WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert, the WNBA, and the Chicago Sky, displaying their seriousness.

One X user could not help but just state that the world we live in today is full of such people. Previously, Angel Reese had shared that one fan banged on her car windows to open them and talk to them. While the Bayou Barbie simply told them that she was not comfortable with that, it seems like there’s no end to this tale as she again got into a similar situation.

Another person who did not like the action also spoke up in the comments section. They gave their understanding saying some people cannot meet the Sky hooper directly and get an autograph. So, they take a selfie or a photo with her car, which sounds synonymous. But does it really?

It is only human for Angel Reese to discover the new city as she has not been there for even a month. However, it is also correct that when security is under threat, these players should definitely get a solution. Hopefully, this second incident will be a sign that Reese should get a bodyguard to keep the fans away unless she is comfortable meeting them.
