Angel Reese revealing insights on “first timers” and when dreams were coming true
The rookie answer some questions from her personal life

Angel Reese, the 7th overall pick from the Chicago Sky in the WNBA draft, has recently drawn attention for her comments about rookie rival Caitlin Clark and the perception of the WNBA by fans. Reese stated, “People are watching women’s basketball not just for one person, but also for me,” referring to Caitlin Clark, who has significantly increased viewership in her first month in the league.
In a video interview with the renowned basketball magazine “Slam,” Reese was asked about her early experiences and first timers at the age of 22. When asked about realizing her dream was coming true, she mentioned,
“When I started getting college offers and knowing I could be really great and go to college for free.” This illustrates a powerful motivation in life-to receive the necessary support to achieve one’s dreams.
She didn’t elaborate much on when she realized she was inspiring young girls, only mentioning, “Last year with my press conference.” Perhaps she underestimates how inspiring she is to many young girls across the nation, as she has been a star since her college days.
Tonight, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky face a tough matchup at 7:00 pm ET against the solid New York Liberty, led by Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart. The Sky, with a record of 3-4, lost to Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever in a game that featured a shoulder check from Chennedy Carter, escalating tensions between the rookies. Reese should focus on her game, as she has not scored more than 10 points in her last two games.
Turns out Angel Reese did end up saying “because of all of us” so the whole WNBA is rocking with her. This part was edited out of the viral clip. S/0 @SiobhanBeslow for getting me right 👊🏾 https://t.co/ysSYGVlbgK pic.twitter.com/SmrRXpUBzG
