The 22-year-old’s efforts were not enough to save them from defeat

Angel Reese

WNBA star Angel Reese got Chicago Sky fans in a spin with her pre-game look prior to Tuesday night’s game against the Seattle Storm.

The Sky were looking to bounce back after dropping their last matchup against the Connecticut Sun 86-82, and the rookie attracted some big attention with her choice of attire after turning up at the Wintrust Arena tunnel ahead of the 20:00 start.

Fans praised the 22-year-old’s look, with one exclaiming: “She Too Hard!!” and another said “she killing it I fear”.

Another social media user said: “Angel Reese stay fresh to death,” another person commented, while another wrote: “Fav of hers so far.”

Even if she looked the part, it wasn’t an evening to remember for the Sky, who fell to a 77-68 defeat to the Storm and now have a losing record for the start of the season.

Reese spent the most time of any Sky player on the court with 30 minutes of action but struggled to find her groove, with only 11 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.

The self-proclaimed ‘Bayou Barbie’ – who now calls herself the ‘Chi Barbie’ after her move to the Sky – was outscored by Elizabeth Williams and Dana Evans.

Angel Reese flourishing in WNBA

Reese has enjoyed a fine start to her pro basketball career, averaging 12.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and a steal per game for the Sky since penning her $73,000-a-year contract.

The No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft is already the team’s second-leading scorer and hasn’t backed down from the challenge of going toe-to-toe with the league’s vets.

The best is still to come for Reese, however, as she prepares to duel with Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever this weekend after their recent war of words.

Chicago’s 2-3 record had them third in the Eastern Conference standings behind the Sun and the New York Liberty, but they have now fallen to ninth out of the 12 team. Last season, the Sky finished 18-22 before losing two straight games in the playoffs to the Las Vegas Aces.
