Former Juventus defender and club legend, Giorgio Chiellini, recently shared about his experience playing football with Cristiano Ronaldo and admired the Portuguese star’s behavior.

After nine years playing for Real Madrid, winning countless titles and building a legacy as one of the greatest players in the club’s history , Cristiano Ronaldo parted ways with Los Blancos in 2018. The Portuguese legend Portugal has moved to Turin, joining Juventus FC in a blockbuster transfer deal, after he won three consecutive Champions League titles with Madrid.

Ronaldo spent three full seasons at Juventus, during which he carved his mark as one of the top scorers in the team’s history. Giorgio Chiellini, a Bianconeri legend who once shared the dressing room with Ronaldo, recently revealed the striker’s attitude and mentality.

In a revealing episode of The BSMT podcast, the 39-year-old former player said: “Cristiano Ronaldo is someone who is respectful and almost obsessive in the way he takes care of his body and prepares for matches. He wants to score and wants to win. Ronaldo is always punctual and disciplined both in competition and on the training field. He does magical things that a normal player could never do.”

Chiellini continued to comment on his former colleague: “I am very impressed with Ronaldo’s personality in all the most complicated matches. Ronaldo always shows people a crаzy desire to make a difference and wants to prove that he is stronger than everyone at Real Madrid.” The reliable steel shield in the Italian defense also praised Ronaldo’s loyalty and dedication to the team, and expressed admiration for the Portuguese superstar’s leadership qualities.

Chiellini added: “It is an honor to captain Juventus alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. It was a unique opportunity in my career. I admire Ronaldo very much because he always treats people well. Ronaldo, unlike other superstars, is never absent when needed, even at team dinners.”

Ronaldo’s three-year spell at Juventus saw him win the Serie A twice, the Coppa Italia once, and the Supercoppa Italiana twice. Afterwards, Ronaldo returned to the Premier League , reuniting with Manchester United.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo’s career at the Old Lady of Turin cannot avoid trouble. The Portuguese striker has been involved in a contract dispute with Juventus, stemming from the postponement of salary payments during the CоVID-19 pаndemic. Ronaldo, in an act of solidarity with the team, agreed to postpone his salary. However, a disagreement arose over refund terms, leading to a legal dispute between Ronaldo and the club.

Juventus, chaired by Andrea Agnelli at the time, spoke out against Ronaldo’s demand for the debt to be paid in full, leading to a lengthy legal bаttle. The 39-year-old Portuguese star is playing in the Saudi Pro League for Al Nassr.
