Kanye West is creating controversy again, and this time he’s using his daughter North West to do it.

Recently, photos surfaced of the 10-year-old wearing an unreleased Yeezy hoodie that people are

branding racist — in fact, it’s already drawing comparisons to the Ku Klux Klan.

Kanye’s behavior is shocking but not surprising.

Members of the hate group Ku Klux Klan wear white robes and hoods with eye holes so they can act

anonymously and not face punishment for their actions. Meanwhile, the hoodie in question, which

is white, completely covers the face, leaving only two small eye holes. It also comes to a point at the

top, and people online are pointing out the similarities between it and the white hooded robes worn

by the white supremacy group.

Kanye Ye West

Kanye, who changed his name to Ye, has been known for acting in increasingly erratic behavior for the last handful of years, and much of his behavior has been racially charged.

He has openly made both anti-Black and anti-Semitic comments, including saying that slavery was “a choice.” He has also been seen wearing a “White lives matter” shirt.

His behavior led to his downfall.
Because of Ye’s comments and behavior, Adidas, the company that produced his Yeezy line, dropped him among public outcry to do so.

As a result of losing the financially lucrative partnership, Ye lost his billionaire status.

The designs for Yeezy have always been questionable, and the same drop that contained the offensive hoodie also had other extreme hoodies and a body-covering morphsuit.

North West

This latest stunt has people outraged.
The images of North in the hoodie were originally shared on the Donda Times Twitter account but were eventually deletd. They also began making the rounds on Reddit, where people had a lot to say about Ye’s decision.

“I live in the south and I don’t like it. Makes me mad his little blk [sic] daughter is wearing it and she doesn’t understand the disdain for this look. Maybe if it was purple or blue I wouldn’t feel the same,” one person commented.

“Why is it a KKK hoodie omg,” asked another person.

Commenters are understandably questioning Ye’s parenting choices.
“Kinda messed up to photograph and post a child wearing a kkk inspired/evoking outfit. This will be online forever,” one person wrote.

“Gross. Why does he use her to push his bigotry?” another person added.

“Why would you put your black/biracial daughter in something so offensive to her personhood?” yet another commenter asked.

Where’s Kim in all of this?
People are also wondering where North’s mother, Kim Kardashian, stands in all of this. She has yet to publicly comment on the photos.

“I admire Kim for not letting her issues with Kanye affect the children, but at this point she needs to step in and say absolutely not. Putting your kid is what is essentially a KKK hoodie is crossing way over the line,” one person wrote.

“I get it that Kim doesn’t want any of her and Kanye’s stuff to get in the way of North thinking he’s a great dad … But at some point I feel like there does need to be a discussion with North ab the reality of the situation,” read another comment.
