Hailey Bieber calls her mom and grandmother her ‘biggest inspirations’ in Mother’s Day post after announcing first pregnancy with Justin Bieber
As she prepares to welcome her first baby, Hailey Bieber is celebrating previous generations of mothers.
The pregnant model, 27, paid tribute to her mother Kennya and grandmother Rute in a Mother’s Day post celebrating ‘generations of Rhode’ on her skincare line’s Instagram page.
‘Happy Mother’s Day,’ she wrote on her Instagram Story, sharing a collage of family throwbacks.
Rhode’s tribute stated, ‘One of the biggest inspirations for Rhode was Hailey’s mom and nana, who taught her all about skincare at an early age.
‘Their diligent routines and love for head-to-toe hydration helped shape our approach, creating efficacious, nourishing essentials that make the most of each step in your routine,’ the post continued.
The brand also offered ‘some of our favorite tips they passed on over the years.’
‘Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate,’ they wrote. ‘Wear SPF every day, it’s truly a non-negotiable; don’t forget to moisturize your body + slather on lotion head-to-toe; always wash off makeup before bed—no matter what!’
Hailey and husband Justin Bieber previously announced their first pregnancy in a video from their intimate Hawaii vow renewals.
The mother-to-be debuted her baby bump in a custom Saint Laurent lace wedding dress by Anthony Vaccarello with matching veil.
She and Justin, 30, privately tied the knot in November 2018 following a brief engagement, having their nuptials in South Carolina a year later.
Following their pregnancy news, the couple confirmed to People that they are six months along and are due in late summer.
Justin’s mother Pattie Mallette celebrated the news that she’s ‘gonna be a grandma,’ sharing her excitement in a video on Instagram.
‘CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber and @haileybieber!! My heart is so full. What an exciting new adventure. Love you so much!’ she wrote in the caption.
Mallette, 49, said the couple is ‘going to be the best parents ever,’ before clarifying that they’re not having twins.
Hailey’s father Stephen Baldwin previously sparked rumors of marital trouble when posted about ‘special challenges’ the couple was facing in a since-deleted post on Instagram in February.
The Bio-Dome actor, 58, asked for ‘a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection, and draw close to the Lord.’
It’s now believed that comment was in reference to Hailey’s pregnancy, after she revealed an ovarian cyst in 2022, following surgery for a heart defect.
‘With both of them having various health struggles, they decided now, as opposed to trying a little later, would be the best time to have children,’ a source told DailyMail.com.
In recent years, Justin has also opened up about his struggles with Lyme disease and Ramsay Hunt syndrome.
‘They are still young and will be able to enjoy being parents,’ the insider added. ‘As they grow old, they can watch their kids grow old too.’
