BREAKING: Anthony Joshua accepts all terms for December 3 fight with Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua has accepted all terms offered to him by Tyson Fury‘s team, moving a superfight on December 3 ever so closer.

Despite Joshua’s second consecutive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, WBC champion Fury has been vocal about wanting to fight his fellow Brit in a huge bout as opposed to taking on the Ukrainian in a world heavyweight title unification fight.

Negotiations have been promising and the latest from AJ’s management, 258MGT, is that they agreed to the terms presented last Friday.

In a statement on Twitter, they say communication was briefly halted due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II but they are awaiting a response.

Joshua-Fury update: 258 and @MatchroomBoxing can confirm, on behalf of @anthonyjoshua, that we accepted all terms presented to us by Fury’s team for a fight Dec 3rd last Friday. Due to the Queen’s passing, it was agreed to halt all communication. We are awaiting a response.

‼️ Anthony Joshua has now accepted all terms to fight Tyson Fury on Dec 3rd, his management company 258MGT have confirmed. This was agreed on Friday. They added: “Due to the Queen’s passing, it was agreed to halt all communication. We are awaiting a response.”

Joshua would be making a fairly swift return to the ring, having only recently been in the squared circle with Usyk in Saudi Arabia.

Fury, meanwhile, had said he was retiring following on from his knockout win over Dillian Whyte at a sold-out Wembley in April but was quite clearly bluffing.

Even without all the belts involved, Fury vs Joshua is seen as one of the biggest fights in the history of boxing.

Fury revealed he was offering his rival a 60/40 purse split in order to make sure there were no excuses and Matchroom Boxing head honcho Eddie Hearn confirmed that proposal was accepted – although that arrangement would be reversed for the rematch.

Yea calm. I don’t do the online discussions just for clout, so if your really about it shout @258mgt. I’ll be ready in December. Khalas

Yo @anthonyjoshua what you saying big G let’s give the fanz what they want as Usyk is bitching??? I got the date and venue who will rule Britannia?

It appears as though Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, where Fury recently appeared for WWE’s historic Clash of the Castle pay-per-view, will be the location.

In May 2021, Fury announced a fight with Joshua was happening in Saudi Arabia in August after long, drawn-out talks.

However, it was ruled that he had to fight Deontay Wilder for a third time instead.

Joshua lost his world heavyweight titles to Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September 2021 and could not regain them despite a valiant effort in the rematch last month.
