Taylor Swift was all smiles as she shared a selfie with Prince William and his children, despite the pop sensation previously snubbing a letter from Meghan Markle.

Meghan Markle reportedly wrote Taylor Swift a ‘personal letter’ inviting her on her Archetypes podcast, but the pop senstaion declined. The singer instead recently invited Prince William and his two eldest children, George and Charlotte, backstage for a photo during her Eras Tour gig at Wembley Stadium. Travis Kelce, Taylor’s NFL star partner, was also included in the snap.

This friendly interaction is a contrast to the snub Meghan received when she tried to bring in Taylor for her Archetypes podcast via a “personal letter”.

Meghan reached out to Taylor last year with an invitation to participate in her podcast, but sadly, Taylor declined her offer through a representative. The Telegraph states that Meghan penned a personal letter asking Taylor to join the line-up for Archetypes, which Taylor respectfully declined.

Archetypes, hosted by Duchess Meghan for a brief one season stint on Spotify, drew in some big names like Serena Williams, Paris Hilton, and Jameela Jamil for its episodes.

However the Duchess of Sussex’s show was dropped from Spotify, sparking a row as it emerged Meghan and Prince Harry were cut from the platform. A senior Spotify figure blasted the Royal couple, calling them “f****** grifters,” reports the Mirror.

Meghan is now teaming up with Lemonada Media to launch a brand new podcast series next year, following the success of ‘Archetypes’. The Duchess expressed her enthusiasm for the project, saying: “I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting.”

She added, “Being able to support a female founded company with a roster of thought provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works. I’m so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family.
