‘The Voice’ Fans Furious After Elimination & Cliffhanger
The Voice angered a lot of fans this week for two reasons. One had to do with who was eliminated in the episode. The other had to do with the cliffhanger that ended the episode. This means people watching to the end not only saw a favorite go home, but they will have to wait until the next episode to see what else happened. Here is what fans had to say about the elimination and cliffhanger ending.
The Voice Fans Say Wrong Singer Went Home
This week, The Voice had its Battle Rounds. Things were going well until a shocking elimination sent many fans online complaining about the results. This happened after the battle between Creigh Riepe and Lauren Michael-Sellers.

The two singers went head to head by singing the Dear Evan Hansen track “You Will Be Found.” They did an incredible job on the song, and then the judges talked about how hard this choice was. Gwen Stefani referred to it as a “crazy battle.” Michael Buble noted both had reasons to stay.
It was up to Reba McEntire to make the final decision in this battle. Reba saved Lauren, saying, “I think the women watching this show will really fall in love with her” (via U.S. Sun). “She could be the lady that just lives down the road from you, and she can sing so well, and it just really hit me hard.”
Fans swept online to say they didn’t agree at all with the choice:
“WHY DIDN’T YOU STEAL CREIGH??”
“72% of the app wanted him to stay both of them were great.”
However, this wasn’t the only moment that made fans mad.
The Voice Fans Also Angry At Cliffhanger
The Voice this week ended with a cliffhanger. It even had the words “To Be Continued” show up on the screen, telling people to tune in to the next episode to see what happened. The cliffhanger ending showed that Stancil had been stolen by Snoop Dogg, Reba, and Michael. However, just when it came time to see who got him and show who he chose, the episode ended with a cliffhanger message.
This all goes back to recent complaints about the show, as many people feel it is no longer about the singers and finding new stars. It seems that the biggest lure now for the reality competition series is to create drama. Between the banter between the hosts and now the cliffhangers, there is more than just singing bringing fans back.
