Travis Kelce handles questions about Taylor Swift’s exes like a pro!
While chatting about his relationship with Swift, 34, during the June 25th episode of Barstool Sports’ Bussin’ with the Boys podcast, Kelce, also 34, fielded a question about the singer’s viral “Karma” lyric change — and who the song previously referred to.
At an Eras Tour show last November, Swift changed a lyric from the Midnights track that alludes to an actor. Instead of singing, “Karma is the guy on the screen / Coming straight home to me,” the popstar (who has previously dated actors Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Alwyn) swapped “screen” for “Chiefs” — a clear nod to her NFL star beau.
When asked whether the “guy” in the original “Karma” lyric refers to Gyllenhaal, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shrugged it off, asking, “What happened?”
“Wasn’t it ‘guy on the screen?’ ” podcast co-host and former NFL linebacker Will Compton asked, and Kelce replied that “it was.”
Co-host and NFL free agent Taylor Lewan then chimed in, noting that “When asked whether the “guy” in the original “Karma” lyric refers to Gyllenhaal, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shrugged it off, asking, “What happened?”
“Wasn’t it ‘guy on the screen?’ ” podcast co-host and former NFL linebacker Will Compton asked, and Kelce replied that “it was.”
Co-host and NFL free agent Taylor Lewan then chimed in, noting that “it’s changed,” and Compton, 34, added, “I know it’s changed. Like, I know it’s about the boy now, right?”
