The WNBA Rookie Of The Year award race is heating up. With all the eyes on the women’s game since Caitlin Clark’s move, action in the WNBA became the talk of the town. However, the rivalry between CC and Angel Reese seems to be the headline of the WNBA, and now, a shocking report suggests who will potentially take the ROTY award.
According to the betting site Bovada, Caitlin Clark is the leading candidate to win the award. The former Iowa guard had a tough start to her WNBA career, but her numbers did not drop. In the 20 games she has played this season, Clark is averaging 16.2 points per game with 6.9 assists and 5.7 rebounds. On the other hand, Angel Reese is averaging 13.3 points and 11.4 rebounds, along with 1.9 assists per game.
While many have already declared Angel Reese the winner, the latest standings show a different picture. According to Monica McNutt, the ROTY race is not a foregone conclusion.

But with each passing game, Caitlin Clark tightened her grip around the claim to be the WNBA ROTY, and her last performance proved why.
Caitlin Clark Solidifies Her Claim on WNBA ROTY
On Saturday, the Fever picked up an unlikely win over the Phoenix Mercury. And to no one’s surprise, Caitlin Clark was the star of the show.
Clark recorded a 15-9-12 stat line, missing WNBA history by an inch. Had she grabbed one more rebound, she’d have been the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double.

With their latest win, the Fever now finds themselves within a game of the Dream, which is in 7th. With the action picking up fast, Caitlin Clark’s form would be a key to the Fever’s chances to secure a playoff spot and take herself a step closer to the WNBA ROTY.
