The 2024 Met Gala has kicked off with a lot of buzz, grabbing attention globally. It’s a big fashion event where famous people from different fields come together. Celebrities, athletes, and artists all join in to raise money for charity.

There were even a few tennis stars who stole the show with their fashion styles. Maria Sharapova led the tennis line with a fairytale gown that fit this year’s “Garden Of Time” dress code. It was an off-shoulder neon tennis ball-hued dress. She looked stunning in a green gown with a flower hairband that complemented the dress well.

Sharapova was not the only one that looked dashing in the event. Even her rival from their playing days, Serena Williams, made a grand entrance to the event in a gold and black-themed dress that replicated a trophy. With black gloves and a unique golden piece, the tennis legend had once again stunned the crowd.

This was unlike her last year’s appearance, where Williams had announced to the world her second pregnancy by starring in a black dress from Gucci that perfectly showcased her baby bump. This was Williams’ most glamorous night since she welcomed her second child, Adira.

The Met Gala has gotten off to a flying start as many celebrities, athletes and famed personalities enter the stage to show off their beautiful looks. From the athlete’s side, Serena Williams had already stunned the press with her look, but soon her sister Venus Williams joined in the game, dressed in a glittery gown with broken mirror pieces

However, this broken mirror was a bit of a wardrobe malfunction for the 43-year-old. Having decided to wear a fragile dress full of mirrors, she bore with the consequences. Williams revealed that she broke one of the mirrors while zipping on the dress.

Nonetheless, the older one of the Williams sisters looked stunning in her dress. Other than that, Challengers star Zendaya also caused quite a stir at the event with some feisty looks. Designed by her stylist Law Roach, who had done a wonderful job designing her tennis-style outfits for the promotions, the American stood out from the crowd.
