Despite the fact she has dated her son Travis for well over a year now, Donna Kelce is still yet to go and see one of Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour shows in the flesh.
Yet she is hoping that finally changes in the near future as the pop megastar’s romance with Travis continues to go from strength to strength.
‘I hope so, I hope so. I would like to,’ she told People about potentially attending a live Swift concert. ‘It’s spectacular.’
She added: ‘I did see [the Eras Tour movie] and I did like it. It was awesome.’
Though while she is now a big fan, Donna admitted she was not a ‘Swiftie’ prior to her relationship with Travis.
‘I would say not. My era was Earth, Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan, things like that,’ the 71-year-old said.
‘That’s more my music. But obviously, talent is talent.’
It has been a year since Swift, who is currently enjoying a gap in her Eras Tour schedule, publicly confirmed she was dating Kelce by turning up to Arrowhead to watch him play for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Chicago Bears.
Exactly 12 months later, the pair are perhaps the most famous celebrity couple on the planet, with their respective brilliance in music and football proving the perfect combination.
Donna has been seen with Taylor at a number of Travis’ Chiefs games over the past year, including at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas back in February.
At the premiere for Ryan Murphy’s new ‘Grotesquerie’ horror series, which Travis has made his acting debut in, the mother of the Kelce family revealed why she believes Taylor and her son are perfect for each other.
‘He’s a good guy. He really is. He’s good,’ Donna told Page Six about Travis.
Kelce’s mom believes he and Swift are perfect for one another as they are both ‘kind and generous’ (Pictured: Donna and Taylor at last season’s Super Bowl)
‘He’s kind. He’s generous. And from what I understand, so is she.’
On the back of his romance with Swift, Kelce has been able to leverage his increased fame into newfound opportunities – including acting, such as in the 10-episode Grotesquerie horror-drama on FX.
‘Oh, it’s so awesome. Just to be able to see your kids do what they absolutely love to do, and hopefully this is something he likes! I know he wanted to try [acting], so we’ll see how it goes,’ Donna Kelce said.
She later added: ‘I just can’t believe what’s happened over the last couple years.’
