Taylor Swift was all smiles as she met with Prince William and his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, but the singer previously rejected a request from the Duchess of Sussex.

Taylor Swift was spotted grinning from ear to ear as she hung out with Prince William, despite previously turning down an opportunity to collaborate with Meghan Markle.

The future king was caught showing off some enthusiastic dance moves while enjoying Taylor’s Eras Tour gig at Wembley Stadium on Friday night. He was later invited backstage to meet the pop sensation and brought along his two eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte – to meet Taylor.

Everyone was all smiles as they snapped a group selfie, with Taylor’s beau Travis Kelce even popping in for the photo op. This encounter is a stark contrast to when the Duchess of Sussex attempted to persuade Taylor to guest star on her Archetypes podcast by sending a “personal letter”.

It’s rumoured that Meghan reached out to Taylor last year with an invitation to feature on her podcast, but the singer politely declined. As per the Telegraph, Meghan penned a “personal letter” to Taylor, inviting her to appear on Archetypes, “but the singer declined, through a representative,” reports the Mirror.

Archetypes had a one-season run on Spotify, with Meghan producing 12 episodes. The podcast boasted a star-studded guest list including big names like Serena Williams, Paris Hilton and Jameela Jamil.

However, the show was removed from the streaming platform when it was revealed that Meghan and her husband Prince Harry had been dropped by Spotify. Following their departure, a senior Spotify executive didn’t hold back, branding Harry and Meghan as “f****** grifters”.
