Simone Biles has hit back at the ones trolling her after she donned a Jonathan Owens-inspired jacket recently. Subjected to intense trolling online, the US gymnastics queen seems to be unfazed by all the fuss.

Biles was spotted wearing a Packers-themed jacket while cheering for her husband from the stands. This soon became one of the biggest reasons for the fans to throw shade at her since Jonathan Owens has left the Packers.

Joining the Chicago Bears recently, Simone Biles was expected to turn up in similar colors. Unfortunately, when Biles resorted back to Owens’ old team’s designs, the fans could not resist themselves from holding back their scathing remarks.

But all these noises do not seem to affect Simone Biles. Taking to her Threads account, Biles directly clapped back at the NFL trolls by expressing her desire to be ‘classy’. The Paris Olympic women’s all-around gold medalist stated, “The way I be wanting to clap back soooo bad but I gotta stay as classy as possible.”

As a matter of fact, the slight malfunction happened on the part of Biles. Biles has, on several times, donned special Jonathan Owens themed outfits and accessories.

Whether it is the ‘Owens’ pendant or the jersey number of the teams that Owens played in, the gymnastics icon is obsessed with supporting her husband.

But this time, Biles mistakenly wore the Packers’ outfit, the team which her husband cut ties with after playing for just a season.

Things took a nasty turn when, after the August 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Biles posted her pictures in a Packers-themed jacket. Well, the Olympic gold medalist quickly let the fans be aware of her displeasure.

Reacting initially to the whole fiasco, Biles wrote, “It’s okay to let up off my neck every once in a while.” Biles has also been in the firing line after Owens left the Packers within a year, to land up with a lucrative offer from the Chicago Bears.

However, this is not the first time that Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have been thrown shade at by the online fans. One of Owens’ comments recently set off the fans and Simone Biles had to intervene.

In an interview detailing how the duo met and their love story started, Jonathan Owens stated that he was not aware of who Simone Biles was initially. Owens pointed out that the time during which Biles was dominating the Olympics, the NFL star was busy trying to make a name for himself.

However, amidst all the secrets of their relationship, Owens, at one point, stated that it was the NFL athlete who was the ‘catch’ in their relationship and not Simone Biles.

Such a comment was apparently misinterpreted by the fans and they took a dislike to the sentiment. Barrelling down hatred towards Jonathan Owens, the online community called him out for allegedly having insulted his wife.

As the protests became louder, it was time for Biles to say that she had enough and that the noises must stop.

Standing in solidarity beside Owens, Biles posted on her social media in May, “I’m going to quickly address this, the joke was never a joke! Y’all are blatantly being disrespectful to my relationship & my husband. So I’m gonna go ahead & say this one time. Respectfully, f*ck off.” 

Thus, it is evident that the power couple is often at the firing lines of the fans. But it is the way how the duo tackles the hate and keeps the love and respect among them intact is surely inspiring.
