Williams’ husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian is also crazily wealth. But is he close to Serena? According to the Marca web publication, Ohanian’s technology-related investments through his venture capital firm Seven Seven Six are essential to his net worth, where initialized capital-managed assets are valued at $3.2 billion.

Although he doesn’t own Reddit anymore (he sold it to Conde Nast for $10 million), it is estimated the businessman might have 5% ownership of the company.

Ohanian paid $15000 for a portion of Ethereum Cryptocurrency which reached the value of $80 million and the Reddit co-founder still holds the investment. His net worth is calculated at $150 million.

Williams and Ohanian both are quite successful in their fields. While Williams made an impressive career that brought her this fortune, she wasn’t paid as much as the ATP stars received during her time.

A 2005 McIntire School of Commerce Graduate at the University of Virginia, Ohanian donated a large sum to the Cavalier Women’s basketball program.

Although the amount isn’t disclosed, it is said to be the largest donation in the history of the college’s basketball program.

Speaking about the motive behind the donation, the University’s official page wrote, “Its intention is to elevate recruiting and player retention efforts while addressing the financial and competitive demands of this new era of college athletics.” Ohanian received a huge shout-out from the team who expressed their gratitude for the help.

However, the Reddit co-founder seemed grounded and humble when he shared about it.

“Alright, you’ve probably heard the news. Honestly, it has been a very good year for me with Reddit going public and there will be no Reddit without University of Virginia so made sense my first big investment in women’s basketball would be my Alma mater, the University of Virginia, so I am so proud, it’s gonna be a major donor, its for the women’s basketball.

We’re gonna make sure that we’re in the top top program of the country,” he said.  Despite a big fortune, Ohanian couldn’t forget the contribution his university made in his career.
