Serena Williams is one of the most decorated and highly celebrated athletes in the sports business. Still, the chances of her teaching her 4-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. the tricks of the trade are slim to none.

While sharing some updates on the adorable toddler during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the 23-time Grand Slam winner revealed that her little one was “all right” in tennis, and that she’d hired a private instructor to help sharpen her skill set.

“I don’t push her because I’m like, ‘she’s 4,’ ” said Williams, who welcomed Olympia in September 2017, with her husband, Alexis Ohanian. “She’s all right … I’ve seen 4-year-olds that might take her out,” she said. Still, the star admitted that she doesn’t “have the patience to teach tennis.”

She continued, “I don’t really like to play with people who don’t know how to play tennis well. It drives me nuts. So, I was like, ‘I can’t. I don’t have the patience for this,’ ” the star said, “So I signed her up for a private teacher.”

When asked by DeGeneres whether tennis was Olympia’s “ambition” at the moment, Williams joked, “Her ambition is playing princess games.” She added. “The more we can play anything with princesses, that’s her whole life.”

Last month, fans were left in awe over the mother-daughter duo after Williams shared a video featuring her and Olympia hitting a few swings on the tennis court. They both sported matching tennis outfits, the norm for the dynamic duo.

“Sometimes it be ya own mini,” Williams captioned the Instagram post that featured the little girl in her adorable open-stance pose, giggling just before missing a tennis ball thrown over her shoulder.

The star retired last year following her match at Wimbledon in July, where she suffered an ankle injury. However, now she’s preparing for an epic “comeback.” In April, she appeared on Instagram Live, where she revealed plans to train with NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers after splitting from her longtime coachPatrick Mouratoglou.

“We’ve been talking about my comeback, and he’s been hyping me up and getting me ready for Wimbledon,” she said, before adding, “Can’t wait!”
