Papoose and Remy Ma Accuse Each Other of Cheating in Messy Exchange

Rappers Remy Ma and Papoose have been married since 2016, but it appears they’re heading for divorce after the pair made their marital issues public on social media.
In a post shared in the early hours of Thursday, Dec. 12, Remy Ma opened the floodgates when she accused Papoose of having an affair with boxer Claressa Shields .
“Papoose dum ass fell asleep on the phone with Claressa Shields,” Remy Ma wrote alongside an alleged screenshot showing Papoose texting with the boxer. “Laying in my house he refuses to leave. This bitch supposed to be a world champion boxer and get scary ass hung up soon as she heard my voice.”
Moments later, she posted a follow-up that showed another screenshot of texts from Shields. “Papoose u fukin dummy!” she wrote. “Ms Shields, he took your advice but not before I screenshot y’all convo.
Oh, he was getting me arrested, the woman that NEVER fucked off on him in 17 years! While plotting ONE OF his chicks to try to destroy me. The same woman that could’ve BEEN used my platform to expose you.”
She also accused Papoose of threatening to leak explicit videos and publicly claim he wrote her lyrics for “Imagine That.”

In a third post, with yet another screenshot, Remy wrote that she is “a ONE boyfriend woman” and laughed at the idea of Papoose buying Shields gifts.
“He’s a taker not a giver,” she wrote. “Plus I’m the one with the bag lol. Please, stop playing with me cuz I’m not the enemy you want. I am not even mad actually I’m very happy—and that’s why your boyfriend is mad.”

After Remy Ma shared the screenshots, Papoose shared a post with a statement and accused her of being unfaithful.
“Sad to say that Remy Ma is a narcissist,” he wrote. “She chose to cheat repeatedly. Now that I finally moved on, she’s playing the victim.
I have requested a divorce numerous times. She rather clout chase on social media than handle this like civilized adults.
I did not wanna do the social media foolishness. For the sake of my six-year-old baby. She has to go to school. As you can see I remained quiet through this all.”

The married couple also took to their Instagram Stories to address the situation, with Remy Ma claiming that Shields and her publicity team fed “fake stories” to the press to make her look bad and Papoose innocent. She wrote that she directly asked her husband to share something to “stop the narrative,” but he insisted that they “stay quiet.”
On his Instagram Stories, Papoose denied the allegation that he was responsible for her getting arrested.
“I will never get anyone arrested,” he wrote. “Once again you are lying!! That can be easily verified. You are the one who play with police.
Lying about History that unfolded in front of the world is pathetic. Falsifying text messages that you claim are from over a decade ago. Just to create a false narrative, and justify cheating is narcissistic behavior.”
She denied that she made fake screenshots and threatened to release audio and video that showed him attacking her.

“Now that I FINALLY moved on she’s angry and making up lies. … I told her we could divorce like adults. She refuses to do that because I wouldn’t lie and say I didn’t knock this chump out.”
Remy, meanwhile, shared a video showing her interactions with Shields on Instagram.

Shields also offered responses of her own to the online drama on her X account.
“Misery loves company baby… Smh. I’m just so happy over here,” she wrote. “I can’t believe a 45 year old woman is crashing out like this. [Clown emoji] behavior. I guess I’ll welcome all my supporters.”

The comment about Remy Ma’s age got a response from the rapper, who hit back in the replies. “I’m not 45 YET! But you are 29 and I’ll just say this… you not aging like wine,” she wrote.
“AGAIN tho I’m not your enemy, tell ya boyfriend buy you some flowers & gifts. & he didn’t answer any of his phones cuz he was with his Cali girl this week.”
Shields replied, “You making fake text is crazy! I’m not a bitch you can bully. You’re bitter and mad. You making yourself look stupid, just stop it.”

Shields then offered to fight Remy if she’s up for it. “Claressa Shields vs Remy Ma Feb 2nd!” she wrote. “Come get yo ass whooped crash out!!”

It’s been a while since fans first speculated Remy Ma and Papoose were having marriage problems. In September 2023, Remy was called out by battle rapper Geechi Gotti for allegedly cheating on Papoose, but she didn’t respond to the claims at the time.
The couple intended to marry in 2008 but the wedding was called off last minute due to Remy Ma’s incarceration. They finally tied the knot in February 2016 and they welcomed their first child in December 2018.
