The investigation into Liam Payne’s death is ongoing, with Argentinian police searching the hotel room of the hotel he had been staying at in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Liam Payne’s family “want answers” as the investigation into his death remains ongoing, according to a source.

Argentinian police investigating the One Direction star’s death recently returned to his hotel room in search of the singer’s missing Rolex watch.

The watch had not been uncovered during raids on the residences of three men who are suspects in the ongoing investigation.

A source has said those close to Liam “want to see justice served” if someone is found to be responsible for the tragedy.

“Liam’s family knows that he was struggling with his own personal demons, but they also want answers as to why and how he ended up falling from his hotel balcony,” they said.

The Strip That Down hitmaker sadly died after falling from the third-floor balcony of the CasurSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Speaking to In Touch magazine, the source added: “And if someone is responsible for contributing to Liam’s death, they want to see justice served. The family needs and deserves closure.”

The comments come after two uniformed officers arrived at the CasurSur Palermo Hotel this morning. They’re said to have headed to Liam’s room upon their arrival.

Cops returned to the hotel to continue their search of the singer’s gold $38,000 watch, according to The Daily Mail.

The Mirror US has approached Argentinian investigators for comment.

Liam was seen wearing the Rolex in CCTV footage on the day he died. A judicial source told respected Argentinian daily La Nacion: “We know from images that have been analyzed that Liam had the watch on the day of his death.

He had it in one of his hands and he had it at least two to three hours before his fatal hotel fall. We looked for it in his hotel room and couldn’t find it.”

The source continued: “The watch was searched for at the homes of the people accused of the crimes of abandonment of a person and supply and facilitation of narcotics and at the homes of the two women who were with Payne in the room the afternoon of his death. The room is still sealed off by court order and no one can enter.”

Prosecutors released a statement earlier this month revealing that three unnamed men are now under formal investigation for allegedly abandoning someone who later died and for providing and facilitating drugs.

One of the individuals is described as someone who “routinely accompanied Liam during his stay in Buenos Aires.”
