Former World No.1 Serena Williams released the teaser of ‘The Arena: Serena Williams,’ an eight-part TV series that will be released on July 10th on ESPN+.

In the clip she shared on Instagram, she could be seen standing in front of a huge court with a racket in her hand. She showed off her fashion sense by donning a stunning one-shoulder dress with blue Nike sneakers, while her hair was tied back into a ponytail.

I didn’t need to blend in. I needed to be different because I was different. I was something that no one had ever seen before.

Serena Williams said in that clip

Here’s the post:

The series has been co-produced by Religion of Sports, Nine Two Six Productions, and 199 Productions. Also, it’s not the first documentary on Williams. ‘Being Serena‘, released in 2018, was about how Williams, in spite of her pregnancy, won the 2017 Australian Open. Then the 2021 movie ‘King Richard‘, the biographical sports drama film, tells the story of the Williams sisters and their father, Richard Williams.

I couldn’t have been more excited about hosting the ESPYs. This is a dream come true for me, and something I’ve wanted to do for as long as I can remember. It has been a sensational year for sports and an unprecedented one for female athletes. I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone on stage in July.

Serena Williams said in a statement

Williams has won 12 ESPY Awards- the Best Female Tennis Player 10 times and Best Female Athlete in 2003 and 2013. The event will be held on July 11 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

Williams has 23 Grand Slam titles in singles, the second most of all time. She is the only player to win a Career Golden Slam in both singles and doubles. In Grand Slam doubles events, she has won 14 finals, and two finals in mixed doubles. She is also an Olympic champion, bagging the gold medal in 2012 in singles, while in doubles, she won in 2000, 2008, and 2012.
