Diddy’s Legal Troubles: What’s Taking So Long?

In a recent interview, Jean Deal returned to discuss ongoing legal issues surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs. The host noted how eagerly the audience awaited Deal’s return, given his popularity and insights. The conversation quickly focused on why Diddy hasn’t been indicted yet despite the serious allegations against him.

Deal explained that while indicting someone can be straightforward (“you could indict a ham sandwich”), the Southern District of New York (SDNY) has a staggering 98.2% conviction rate. This implies that out of 100 people, only 1.8 manage to avoid conviction.

According to Deal, the SDNY has already gathered witnesses and evidence, particularly concerning the sex trafficking allegations involving Cassie, who has filed a civil suit against Diddy. In sex trafficking cases, a single witness can be enough to convict, and Cassie’s testimony could be pivotal.

Additionally, Deal mentioned Jonathan OD, a s3x worker who provided information about Diddy’s alleged interstate sexual activities with Cassie. Despite this, Diddy has not yet been charged due to the complexity of the investigation, which includes allegations of drugs, guns, and financial misconduct.

The authorities are meticulously building their case, examining everything from tax records to footage from over 250 cameras found in Diddy’s home.

Deal emphasized that the sheer volume of evidence and the need for thorough investigation mean that it might take a few more months before formal charges are brought against Diddy.

When asked if Diddy might implicate others, Deal suggested that it’s likely, given his father’s history as an informant. Deal recounted a story about Diddy’s father, Melvin, who allegedly informed on his criminal associates, leading to his own murder.

Deal also mentioned that Diddy has sent messages to his associates, urging them to speak out in his defense. However, many are hesitant to do so until the full extent of the charges is known.

Deal criticized Stevie J, one of the few defending Diddy, suggesting that Stevie J’s motivations are suspect given his own financial struggles and past controversies.

Furthermore, Deal speculated on the possible involvement of high-profile individuals and the reluctance of the authorities to touch them unless absolutely necessary. He mentioned names like Clive Davis and Jimmy Iovine but acknowledged that it’s unclear who might be targeted.

Finally, Deal commented on Diddy’s legal team, noting the recent departure of Benjamin Brafman, a high-profile attorney. Deal suggested that Brafman might have left because Diddy didn’t heed his advice, leading to the current legal quagmire.

With various companies distancing themselves from Diddy and investigations by the IRS and federal authorities ongoing, the situation looks increasingly dire for the music mogul. Deal questioned why Diddy has placed assets in the names of his mother and son, hinting that it might be a strategy to protect them from potential legal repercussions.

As the legal proceedings continue, it remains to be seen how Diddy’s case will unfold and who else might be implicated in the process.
