BREAKING NEWS: Former Chiefs QB Sends Clear Message in Warning About Travis Kelce

The Kansas City Chiefs looked dominant against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the game featured a star-level performance from Travis Kelce.

Kelce turned some heads with his outing.

The nine-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro, and three-time champion, Kelce, finished the contest with 84 yards and 1 touchdown on eight receptions. Former teammate and Chiefs QB Chase Daniel believes that is a good sign for the team moving forward.

Chase Daniel Sends Warning About Chiefs TE Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce Chiefs’ ‘Secret Weapon’

Daniel highlighted Kelce’s big day and TD reception from the win over the Steelers to highlight the tight end’s improvisational skills.

“Don’t let Travis Kelce get hot for the Chiefs as they enter the playoffs….,” Daniel posted on X on December 26. “Kelce was their secret weapon last year when it mattered the most & he’s doing it so many different ways this year.”

“I think Travis Kelsey is their secret weapon,” Daniel said on “The Facility” on December 26. “You’re like, ‘Chase, he’s one of the greatest tight ends of all time. Secret weapon?’ Yeah. Do you remember last year, guys, when he got started in the playoffs? 3 receiving touchdowns, 32 catches in the playoffs.

“Travis Kelsey’s their secret weapon 11 targets yesterday. That’s why, he’s ramping up, and no one can beat the Chiefs.”

The performance snapped a three-game, sub-50-yard streak for Kelce.

It was his sixth time with at least 10 targets in a single game and his fifth time recording eight or more receptions in a contest this season. Kelce is still on track for his fewest receiving yards per game since his second season in the NFL.

Travis Kelce Passes Tony Gonzalez to Make Chiefs History

That touchdown grab gave Kelce another piece of Chiefs franchise history. He is also the club’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards, dethroning Chiefs legend and former fellow tight end Tony Gonzalez.

ESPN’s Pat McAfee praised Kelce during the “Pat McAfee Show,” highlighting the changing of the guard.

Kelce notably celebrated the touchdown by doing Gonzalez’s signature dunk, a nod to his basketball-playing days in college at Cal. Kelce also became the record-holder for most consecutive seasons with at least 90 catches (seven and counting).

He has 97 grabs, 823 yards, and 3 TDs through 16 games.

Xavier Worthy Gets Shoutout After Big Game vs Steelers

Kelce was not the only Chiefs player to receive praise in the segment. Former Las Vegas (then-Oakland) Raiders wide receiver James Jones gave rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy his flowers as well.

“You see that boy, Xavier Worthy, on that deep over route?” Jones asked his fellow hosts. “He was rolling.”

Worthy now has the fifth-most receptions by a wideout in the NFL this season.

The Chiefs turned heads when they were able to land him, with the rookie bringing an element of speed back to the offense it has not had consistently since Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins. With Worthy in the mix, and Hollywood Brown showing well, the Chiefs are potent and looking like a team – if not the team – to beat in the postseason once again.
