End of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour means Travis Kelce’s No. 1 fan will be back in stands – look at her best gameday moments

On September 23, 2023, Taylor Swift shocked the world when she turned up at Arrowhead Stadium, announcing her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce to the NFL and beyond as she sat alongside his mother, Donna.

Since then, things have moved swiftly as Taylor and Travis have ruled the NFL and entertainment worlds over the past nine months.

Whether they love it or hate it, the 14-time Grammy Award winner has become an almost semi-permanent sight for NFL fans at stadiums across the United States.

The pop sensation has been captured on innumerous broadcasts, waved to her adoring fans from VIP suite windows and cemented herself among the WAGs of Chiefs Kingdom.

And, after a brief hiatus to entertain the masses across the globe on her $2billion Eras Tour, Taylor is set to ascend to her NFL throne once again after bringing the show to a close after 21 months.

As Taylor is set to return to the stands in her long-awaited and well-deserved downtime, DailyMail.com takes a look at the songstress’s best gameday moments.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's love story has taken the world by storm over the past year

First shock appearance… and that getaway car

Taylor Swift’s first appearance at Arrowhead Stadium was like something out of one of her music videos.

The songstress shocked Chiefs Kingdom – and the world – when she arrived at Kansas City’s game against the Chicago Bears on September 23 as the most important of VIPs.

The pop sensation all but confirmed the romance rumors with Travis Kelce that had been brewing for weeks when she took pride of place alongside the tight end’s mom, Donna.

She was pictured wearing a red-and-white ensemble after wildly celebrating alongside his mother, Donna, in a luxury suite and even appeared to yell ‘let’s f***ing go’ in response to Kelce’s third-quarter touchdown reception.

After the game, they were spotted leaving together and fans took pictures of them driving into the sunset, quite literally, in his drop-top.

Taking to social media, fans went wild for the new images, as one commented: ‘Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce driving in a convertible around Kansas City, Missouri is the American equivalent of the Royal Wedding.’

Swag Surfin’ with Donna

The Chiefs’ 26-7 playoff victory against the Miami Dolphins provided one of Swift’s most memorable gameday moments.

The ‘Fortnight’ singer rocked up to Arrowhead Stadium in a custom-made Chiefs puffer jacket that was covered in Kelce’s name and Chiefs No. 87, twinning with WAG bestie Brittany Mahomes, who wore a matching one with her husband Patrick’s No. 15.

But it wasn’t her arrival that created an iconic memory. No, instead it was what happened inside her VIP suite.

After arriving at Arrowhead around an hour before kickoff, she sat next to Donna throughout as the Chiefs and Dolphins played out the fourth-coldest game in NFL history.

At one point she was snapped leaning out of the window of Kelce’s suite to wave to the fans sat around her and even high five them as they celebrated the Chiefs scoring a touchdown.

But then, towards the end of the fourth quarter with the Chiefs holding an unassailable 26-7 lead, Swift led the celebrations.

The singer joined in with the Chiefs’ customary swag surf with extreme enthusiasm, rocking side to side with Brittany.

The duo were really going for it and Donna joined in too as they began the celebrations early.

Back in 2009, rap group Fast Life Yungstaz released the song ‘Swag Surfin’’ and the hit had become a staple at HBCU games, growing in popularity in recent years.

Although ‘Swag Surfin’ had been a constant at Kansas City Chiefs games over the years, it became an official hype song of the eventual Super Bowl champs when a clip went viral of linebacker Willie Gay requesting it on the sidelines.

But the song hit a whole new level after the broadcast caught Swift in on the act.

Handshake with Brittany

The two ‘WAGs’ clearly bonded during their time together in the bleachers as they became firm gameday besties last season.

And they took their newfound friendship to new heights in October 2023 when they were captured shaking it off together in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium during the Chiefs’ 31-17 drubbing of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Taylor, with a drink in hand, and Brittany, holding her then-11-month-old baby boy, Bronze, in her arms, swayed from side to side as they bopped their heads in time with each other.

The duo broke out a clearly rehearsed handshake which wrapped up with a hip bump as they wildly celebrated a touchdown for the Chiefs.

The handshake appeared to correspond with an on-field handshake the reigning NFL champs put into play after touchdown drives, as Kelce was seen doing it.

However, the pre-planned gesture left fans divided as some found it endearing amid initial speculation as to how they would get along after Swift’s high-profile romance with Kelce went public but many branded it cringeworthy.

Yet, fans haven’t witnessed a repeat of the personalized celebration so far this season.

Despite insistence that their differing political views haven’t caused a rift between the pair, Taylor and Brittany have rarely been spotted together in games this season.

The previously inseparable duo reportedly have sat in separate suites this season as they want ‘different vibes’ from games.

VIP suite with Jason

The images of Jason Kelce chugging a beer without his shirt on and leaping from the VIP suite into the stands have perhaps become the enduring images of the Chiefs’ playoff showdown against the Buffalo Bills.

But the significance of the occasion for the Kelce clan and Taylor and Travis’s relationship cannot be dismissed.

The tense divisional round clash marked the first time the songstress had been introduced to her boyfriend’s brother and his wife Kylie.

Despite warnings from his wife Kylie to be on his best behavior as they met Taylor for the first time, Jason was filmed roaring into the night without his top on, holding a can of beer in the 20 degree weather. His wife Kylie could be seen watching on stunned in the background as the celebrations in suite erupted while mom Donna was pointing at Jason going wild.

Kylie reportedly relayed a message to Jason via Patrick Mahomes’ dad to ‘get his a** back’ in the box, and speaking on the New Heights podcast, the former Philadelphia Eagles star admitted he didn’t think his wife was too impressed by his celebration.

While Kylie may not have been the biggest fan of her husband’s antics, Travis revealed that popstar girlfriend loved his brother after meeting him and Kylie for the first time.

But, while Taylor, who was also spotted with a drink in hand, was a fan of Jason and his antics, she wasn’t a fan of the Bills Mafia.

Taylor and the Kelce family were allegedly ‘shocked’ at the negative reception they received at last season’s 27-24 win.

On the field at AFC Championship game

By the time the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens rolled around in January, NFL fans had become well accustomed to seeing Taylor holding court in a VIP suite at stadiums across the country,

But after the Chiefs booked their ticket to the Super Bowl, Taylor took her gameday appearance to the next level.

Overriding any security procedure her team surely has in place, Taylor, in true ‘So High School’ style, rushed the field to celebrate with her NFL beau.

The songstress joined Travis’s family – mom Donna, dad Ed and brother Jason – on the M&T Bank Stadium turf and, like a scene out of her ‘You Belong With Me’ music video, packed on the PDA with a triumphant Travis.

And her celebrations weren’t reserved to just Travis, as she also shared an endearing moment with Chiefs head coach, Andy Reid.

With an arm draped around Kelce’s dad, Ed, she spotted Reid on the podium and the two shared a sweet moment.

As soon as they spotted each other, Swift and Reid picked the other out of the crowd and pointed at them.

Reid’s wife, Tammy, stood next to her victorious husband and sported a hilariously shocked expression on her face at seeing the popstar on the field.

‘Tayvoodoo’ at the Super Bowl

The singer rushed 5,500 miles across the globe from Tokyo, Japan, where she had been performing her Eras tour, to the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas where the Kansas City Chiefs took on the San Francisco 49ers.

And once she finally arrived in Sin City, she headlined a star-studded suite, which is said to have cost more than $1 million and was paid for by Travis, joined by her parents and celebrity pals Blake Lively, Ice Spice, and Ashley Avignone.

As the Chiefs eked out their narrow overtime victory over the Niners to seal back-to-back Super Bowl victories, the singer was caught going through an emotional rollercoaster.

Eagle-eyed Swifties spotted the pop sensation with her hands clasped and eyes closed, appearing to pray in the crowd.

‘Tayvoodoo’ is not a new phenomenon for her fanbase, with the term meaning if you disrespect the Queen of Pop in any way you will experience a swift sudden wave of karma.

But her praying was a new scene for the footballing world with many claiming that it was evidence of ‘Tayvoodoo’ in action as the Chiefs ultimately triumphed.

And it was a victory that was sealed with a kiss. In a repeat of the PDA-packed scenes that took over the AFC Championship game, Taylor once again took to the field to toast her boyfriend’s victory.

The songstress and tight end were captured embracing one another in a passionate kiss – a scene that has become so infamous it made it onto TIME magazine’s list of Top 100 Photos of 2024.
