Just a few years ago, DaniLeigh was everywhere with hit songs that performed well, and she seemed destined to be the next big thing in music. Unfortunately, her career hasn’t panned out as expected, and she has been struggling for some time now. A major reason for this downfall is the public drama with her ex, DaBaby, which overshadowed her music career.

The most notorious incident occurred when DaBaby tried to throw her out of his house at night, with their four-month-old daughter, leading to DaniLeigh going live on social media to show the unfolding chaos. DaBaby even called the cops on her during this altercation.

Adding to her woes, DaniLeigh was arrested for a DUI hit-and-run after injuring a woman, narrowly avoiding jail time with a sentence of five years probation. She also faced backlash for promoting colorism with her 2021 song “Yellow Bone,” which celebrated light-skinned women and alienated many of her fans.

To make matters worse, writer and podcaster Blue Telusma revealed that DaniLeigh, during a conversation at an Afro-Latina panel, claimed she doesn’t consider herself black despite liking black men and black music. These controversies further damaged her reputation and alienated her fan base.

Recently, DaniLeigh went live to express her frustration over her stalled music career. She lamented that her music never got the push it deserved due to the surrounding drama.

An insider claimed that DaniLeigh has been deeply upset and blames DaBaby for her career’s decline, believing he deliberately got her blackballed to drag her down with him. However, fans are not sympathetic, suggesting that DaniLeigh’s actions, including the “Yellow Bone” song, were self-sabotaging.
