Coco Gauff swears by her eggs, potatoes, sausage, and fruit for a healthy breakfast. Last year, she also tried out Brussels sprouts and salmon in the air fryer for dinner, which turned out pretty great.
But hey, she is a foodie and fans have seen her appreciate noodles and pasta too, especially when she isn’t gearing up for a competition.
A hearty bowl of rice or beans, chicken, and avocado is the ultimate bliss for the tennis star. All that being said, there are times she would love to have a quick meal. Think about cereal.
Upon returning from Wuhan, the WTA star indulged in her favorite breakfast—a treat as close to her heart—a bowl full of cereals from Wheaties! Quite intriguing, right?
Gauff had previously posted a picture of the Wheaties box featuring her image, captioning it, “Waiting all month to get home to finally try it hahaha.” Her excitement resonated with fans, and her mother, Candi Gauff, who joined the celebration.
Candi Gauff shared a post, showcasing the cereal box, and wrote, “Finally home from my 3-week trip to China with Coco. Now, I can finally eat my ‘breakfast of champions’ cereal.”
Now in a new update, one of her supporters showcased their love for the brand by posting a photo of their kitchen shelf, stacked with limited-edition Wheaties boxes featuring icons like Simone Biles and Gauff.
Touched by the gesture, Gauff reshared the post on her IG story, enthusiastically commenting, “Love it!!!”
All this reminds us of how the tennis sensation Gauff received a special honor from Wheaties, which is a General Mills brand. The company’s market cap is $36.09 billion.
The honor featured the WTA star on a limited-edition box. Reflecting on this decision, Wheaties Senior Brand Experience Manager revealed in August, “At the age of 20, Coco Gauff is already showing the world that anything is possible when you dare to dream — the definition of a Wheaties Champion. We are thrilled to recognize Coco as our newest Wheaties champion amid her incredible season on the court and her ongoing activism work off the court.”
In fact, in honor of her first Wheaties cover, Gauff joined Billie Jean King on stage at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on August 20, 2024.
The veteran passed on the Wheaties Champion torch to Gauff, which symbolized another generation taking the tradition forward.
“It means a lot to be on the Wheaties box, especially as legendary as Wheaties. And being able to follow Billie Jean King is also a huge honor, so I’m really happy and excited to kind of share it with everybody,” Gauff told ESSENCE in August 2024.

Interesting Fact: Did you know that the Wheaties box that features Gauff, details her journey to stardom in the sport? The box depicts how Gauf was inspired from a young age by Venus and Serena Williams.
“I hope to keep empowering the next generation,” said Coco Gauff after getting featured on Wheaties box
Coco Gauff was delighted to join the team of inspiring athletes on the Wheaties limited edition box.
“It is an honor to be on the next Wheaties box, especially as the legendary Billie Jean King passes the historic ‘Wheaties Champion’ title onto me,” she said in August, expressing her happiness.
However, her enthusiasm and excitement were revealed when the former US Open champion further added, “I’ve had so many role models in this sport help guide my professional and personal journey, and I hope to keep empowering the next generation to also work hard and dream big.”
It seemed this recognition seems to have fueled her zeal to further achieve more, she also uses her privilege for things that matter.
Coco Gauff believes in using her voice to fight against social and racial inequalities that prevail in society, while also making tennis more accessible to children who come from underprivileged communities. What is her message to the kids of America?

“Just know that, you’re the only person that can even gauge your skill, and sometimes even you don’t know your own potential. Sometimes you can go further than that, but for me, just know where you wanna be and then stick to that.
Don’t let outsiders or other people kind of change your view on yourself because, at the end of the day, you’re the one putting in the work. You’re the one who has to go out there to compete, and so only you know how far you can go.”
Well, Gauff keeps doing her path and the recognition she received from Wheaties is commendable. After all, the brand has been celebrating incredible athletes for more than 100 years.
