Did Snoop Dogg meet Simone Biles and her family years ago and forget about it? Yikes! Biles’s mother, Nellie Biles, just revealed an interesting story that Dogg has no recollection of.
The whole world is fixated on Paris. 17 family members are in the French capital to support Simone Biles. Showing unwavering support for her daughter, Nellie shared how the gymnast was in a really good place mentally. However, she didn’t forget to take a small dig at Snoop Dogg, who was also interviewing her, along with Hoda Kotb.
Talking to the musician, Nellie stated, “I remember. I will never forget that we met you in Times Square, 2010. And you said, cause we asked for a picture, you said ‘two minutes’. One, two and you were gone,” she stated, while everyone burst into laughter. Snoop Dogg surely didn’t have anything to say.
Well, while this was a relatively lighthearted interaction, Nellie Biles also provided a major insight into Simone Biles’ absence at the opening ceremony.
The mother revealed that the 27-year-old was busy preparing. “The first competition is Sunday, which is women’s qualifier, and so … of course, she needs to rest up before that competition.” No doubt, Suni Lee, Hezly Rivera, Jordan Chiles and Jade Carey were also missing from the ceremony.
Additionally, Simone Biles’ husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, has been waiting for an opportunity to cheer for his beau for a long time, considering this will be the first Olympics he’ll be attending after their marriage took place in April 2023.

“It’s amazing,” the footballer mused about Biles, further going on to say, “I can’t wait to be able to support her… How did I get so lucky? That this is my wife and I get to see someone that’s literally at the pinnacle at her sport and I get to call this my wife.” He will fly to Paris on July 29 before returning to Chicago on Aug 3.
Owens and Biles were dating during the Tokyo Olympics. However, because of COVID restrictions, Owens was not able to travel. But this year, nothing will stop him.
And speaking of Simone Biles’ being at the pinnacle of her sport, reports state that she is looking to debut a brand new element on the uneven bars at the Olympics this year!
Simone Biles is eyeing a Weiler-Kip!
Biles (6.0), Biles II (6.4), Biles (H), Biles (G), and Biles II (J). In case you are wondering, these are the number of elements named after the gymnastics queen. But being the champion that she is, Biles always looks to soar above the clouds. On July 26, she submitted a proposal to name a brand new element after her. The maneuver that Biles will attempt is none other than the Weiler-Kip.
The element requires an athlete to make a forward circle followed by a half turn on the bar, rising to a handstand. This element was originally performed by the Canadian gymnast Wilhelm Weiler. Biles will add her own flair by attempting a 1.5 turn, which has been given a difficulty score of E (on a scale from A to J) by the FIG Technical Committee.
If Simone Biles successfully adds it to her resume, she will be the only active gymnast in the world to have six skills under her name. This would also mean that she will have at least one signature element on every gymnastics apparatus: vault, balance beam, floor, and uneven bars.
Lastly, this would also put her behind two-time Olympian Nellie Kim (Soviet Union), who has a whopping seven skills names after her. Do you think Simone Biles will be successful? Let us know in the comments below.
