Swifties attending the Eras Tour in Scotland this week have been issued a warning.

Taylor Swift is kicking off her 15-date UK tour with three consecutive nights at the Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh. More than 200,000 fans will descend on the Scottish capital for the run of shows between Friday June 7 to Sunday June 9.

The Cruel Summer hitmaker isn’t stopping in Manchester, but will play shows up the road at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium, as well as Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and London’s Wembley Stadium. Taylor, 34, began the world tour last year with a run of shows in the Americas and Asia, before heading to Australia in early 2024. The European leg got underway in Paris, France on May 9.

Now, it’s time for UK Swifties to experience the phenomenon live for themselves. While eager fans – especially those with standing tickets – will be desperate to get to the venue early, Murrayfield Stadium has issued a warning.

Organisers said that overnight camping isn’t permitted and advised fans not to start queuing too early. The venue said ahead of this weekend’s shows: “Scottish Gas Murrayfield is situated in an industrial and residential area that isn’t suitable for overnight camping or anyone queuing too far in advance of the gates opening.

“Therefore, we ask that anyone attending the shows only arrives at the venue at the time advertised on their ticket, on the day of their show.”

It also advised fans without tickets not to turn up to the venue. Those who do so will be moved on. Reiterating the venue’s location, Murrayfield Stadium said: “We kindly ask that only those with tickets turn up to the stadium to avoid disruption to the local residents and businesses.

“To support with the safe entry and exit of everyone within the stadium, no one is allowed to stand outside the gates, or at the tram stop and will be moved on.”

The Eras Tour’s mammoth three-and-a-half hour set celebrates Taylor’s 20-year career so far. It honours 10 of her studio albums – from her second release Fearless to the recently-unveiled The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD).

Taylor plays two nights at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on June 13 and 14 after her Edinburgh shows. She then stops off in Cardiff for one night on June 18. The Style singer then plays three consecutive nights at London’s Wembley Stadium from June 21 until June 23.

She concludes the UK leg of the tour with five more nights at Wembley, on August 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20. While all 15 UK dates are sold out, fans can still try their luck on the official Eras Tour Ticketmaster resale, or other resale sites.
