Taylor Swift fans left delighted after Ticketmaster announces huge ticket update for UK leg of Eras tour

Ticketmaster has announced a huge ticket u-turn for fans with tickets for Taylor Swift‘s UK Eras tour dates.

The global superstar, 34, will be touring some of Britain’s biggest cities, including Liverpool, Manchester London, Cardiff and Edinburgh, and will also be travelling to Dublin when the UK and Ireland leg of Eras begins in June.

After a rush from mega fans to get tickets, some were left disappointed by the strict rules implemented by the ticket-selling giant.

The shows were originally meant to be a ‘lead booker’ event, which means the cardholder who purchased the tickets must attend the event in person.

This meant that anyone who has purchased tickets as gifts would need to also go along to the concert, otherwise the other ticket holders would risk not being able to get in.

Taylor will be performing songs from all ten of her albums at her tour on the UK leg of Eras

However, this afternoon, Ticketmaster has put Taylor lovers out of their misery, by going back on their regulations.

The company sent an email out confirming that the ‘lead booker’ policy was no longer valid.

Ticketmaster said: ‘The ‘lead booker’ policy has been removed, meaning that the person whose name is on the Ticketmaster account used to purchase tickets is no longer required to attend the event.

‘All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. We hope you enjoy the show!’

Taylor announced the release of her brand new album, The Tortured Poets Department, at the Grammys, which is due to come out on April 19th

Tickets to the Eras Tour have been selling out at big-name stadiums across the globe since the dates were announced last March.

The surge to see the Midnights singer was further heightened when Taylor described the tour as a  journey through all of her ‘musical eras’.

Swift said it was a tribute to the numerous albums she has released throughout the years.

The concerts last around three-and-a-half hours, with the singer playing all styles of music from her ten albums – from country to alternative rock.

She also announced the release of her brand new album, The Tortured Poets Department, at the Grammys, which is due to come out on April 19th.
