Roy Keane has told someone at Manchester United to give Marcus Rashford a ‘good old-fashioned kick up the a***’.
Rashford is in the midst of a disappointing campaign at United where he has scored just eight times all season and struggled for form, even drawing criticism from club legend Wayne Rooney.

What has perhaps disappointed United fans the most is that the 26-year-old looked like one of the best players in the world last season when he scored a career-best 30 in all competitions.
Among those left peeved by Rashford’s drop in form is United legend Keane was discussing the forward with Jamie Carragher, Rio Ferdinand, Jill Scott and Gary Neville.
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Keane said: “There’s no question mark about his ability. He’s outstanding – but there’s something amiss with him.
“We’ve had these conversations every few months – a player can have an off-spell or a dip, but he’s certainly not enjoying his football.
“I wouldn’t say I’m worried about him, but you look at him and there’s something amiss.”
Keane then wondered if family members, teammates or even his boss is giving him the dose of reality or tough love he feels is needed given that there are big personalities and players who have won top honours at United.
“Who is giving him an old-fashioned kick up the a*** and saying ‘Come on, we need more from you’. If you want to be this leader, and you’re on the big contracts, then there is that responsibility.
“I don’t think that is happening, I don’t think there is anybody on his case.”

Keane, as a United fan, wants to see Rashford do well and pointed out he can help himself, too. “That doesn’t mean to say he still can’t produce and start running a bit more. He’s been at the club a long time, since he was a kid.”
Rashford was dropped earlier in the season for enjoying a trip to Belfast ahead of an FA Cup tie and missing a training session as a result.
He was heavily criticised for enjoying a night out after a Manchester derby in October but told people they should not doubt his commitment ahead of the second clash against City in March where he scored having owned up to mistakes.
He followed that display up with another goal against Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-final before striking again in a 2-0 victory.
The England international is desperate for a strong end to the season to help United’s slim chances of finishing in the top four, as well as convincing England manager Gareth Southgate he is worthy of a spot in the Three Lions squad at the Euros.
United are next in action on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge where they face fellow strugglers Chelsea.
Eight points separate them in the Premier League with United sixth and the Blues 11th in a contest that used to hold huge prestige but has dwindled in recent years.
