Timothée Chalamet Reacts to THAT Viral Voguing Video

He was too stunned to speak.

For the chronically online, there are certain viral videos that don’t even phase people anymore. But a Voguer who looks eerily similar to Timothée Chalamet might cause someone to stop and stare — and such was the case for the actor himself.

While doing press for the upcoming Wonka film, Chalamet sat down with an interviewer from the British radio network, Heart Radio, to talk about the movie. But the interview veered away from all things Willy Wonka at one point when the interviewer decided to show Chalamet a viral video of what appears to be someone impersonating the actor.

“Have you seen this video doing the rounds that looks… it looks like you voguing, I’ve got to be honest,” the interviewer asked.

In the video, a dancer is seen with similar features as Chalamet — down to the hairstyle and slender frame. They’re performing at what appears to be a ballroom-type show, which is an underground dance and performance subculture created by Black and Latinx LGBTQ+ communities, originating in New York City. The Chalamet lookalike in the video performs a style of dance called “vogueing.”

Chalamet watched the entire video on camera and was nothing short of stunned. The actor was smiling and repeatedly said, “Wow,” while watching the video.

“This is killing you?” Chalamet said to his giggling co-star Calah Lane, who later said that the dancer “does look like him.”

“That’s crazy,” Chalamet said. “He went off. Kudos. That was insane. If I did that, I would snap.”

The interviewer then joked that he “didn’t know Timothée could move like that,” and Chalamet agreed that he “should claim that” it is him dancing in the video. Heart Radio’s interview did ask if Chalamet had any hidden talents, but the actor said “Not like that,” before adding, “I’m gonna watch that again on my own time.”

Timothée Chalamet is currently promoting his newest film Wonka with a global press tour and shining on the red carpet of premieres around the world. The actor plays a young Willy Wonka in the movie that depicts the fictional chocolatier in his rise to candy-making fame. While the movie premieres on December 15, Chalamet will then dive head first into promoting his next big blockbuster — Dune: Part Two, set to be released in March 2024. That film also stars Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, and more.
