Ryan Seacrest fans can’t believe his new summer throwback snap

Ryan Seacrest has shocked his fans with his latest post, a summer throwback snap, and they’re in disbelief.

Wheel of Fortune and American Idol host Ryan Seacrest has sent fans into meltdown with his latest Instagram post.

He took to his page last week to post a summer-themed throwback of himself and his followers are in disbelief.

In the snap, a visibly younger Seacrest, either in his late teens or early 20s, lounged on a beach chair in the sand.

His eyes were closed tight as the sun was beaming in his face and he had blue swim trunks on while he listened to music through his headphones.

Seacrest captioned the photo with: “Summer mode: activated #fbf #summer #throwback.”

In the comment section, some fans didn’t even recognize him.

“Is that Ryan? it doesn’t look like him,” one asked as another swore: “That is not Ryan.”

“Looks like someone else,” a third added.

Meanwhile, others joked about the throwback picture.

“Cute Pic!! I wish I still had my Walkman,” one fan said.

Another commented: “You look great,” as another added: “Resting up before starting the Wheel of fortune gig!”
The game show’s long-time host Pat Sajak’s recently had his final week, which means Seacrest has officially stepped into his shoes.

The 77-year-old—who has been the face of the game show for over 40 years – said goodbye to fans and thanked them for all the great times during his last episode on June 7.

Shortly after Sajak’s exit, Seacrest took to his Instagram to pay tribute to the long-time host of the hit ABC game show.

Seacrest posed alongside new co-host Vanna White and Sajak on the Wheel of Fortune set and captioned the snap with: “Pat, congratulations on an incredible run with Wheel of Fortune! Your dedication, charm, and wit have made the show a beloved part of American television for decades.

“Your partnership with Vanna has been nothing short of iconic, and together, you’ve created countless wonderful memories for viewers. You’ve set the standard for hosts everywhere, and this marks the end of an era. Best wishes for all your future endeavors!”

The post also included a video that showed Sajak and Seacrest whispering and joking to each other on set as Vanna positioned herself for the photoshoot.

In the comment section, many fans praised Secrest while saying goodbye to Sajak, with one person writing: “Happy retirement Pat!! So excited for Ryan!! Great choice!! Can’t wait to watch!!”

“You are the best person to take over for Pat Sajak. You two are my favorites,” added another.

“Best of luck Ryan! How exciting for you! Pat has been so fun to watch and seems like such a cool guy. He deserves to enjoy some free time. You will be amazing taking over, no doubt. Have wheels of fun,” wished a third.

However, others posted that Seacrest “has huge shoes to fill.”

Fans have also called for Sajak’s daughter, Maggie, to take over for him following his retirement, not Seacrest.

Seacrest’s first Wheel of Fortune promo has dropped, and the handoff has been approved by Sajak.

He will officially step into hosting duties on his very first episode in September 2024.
