Better late than never. After some worrisome moments, an apologetic Cardi B made her grand arrival at the yearly beauty festival, Beautycon, in New York City four hours late on Sunday.
And the superstar rapper did not skimp when it came to making a bold fashion statement, dressed in a full-length fur ensemble.
The event came just hours after the 26-year old hit back at a fan who called her out for not being a better role model.
Bold: Cardi B commended attention at Beautycon NYC in a full length fur ensemble on Sunday
The in-demand star’s appearance at Beautycon got delayed due to her late night performance at the grand opening of Kaos Dayclub & Nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas On Saturday.
After a morning hustle from Sin City to New York, Cardi was greeted by some tense fans who were eagerly waiting for her to take the stage.
But still, she did not disappoint, dressed in her white and orange-brown shaded fur outfit that came complete with an embedded light brown blazer.
Keeping with her eye-catching style, she wore a white oversized floppy hat over her long straight black tresses and a pair of gold pumps.
So sorry: The superstar apologized for hitting the stage four hours late and blamed the delay on being overbooked this weekend
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker commanded attention both on the red carpet and on stage, which included a special appearance by her sister, Hennessy Carolina, and moderator Moj Mahdara.
Sensing some tension for her tardiness, the typically bold-speaking star couldn’t have been more apologetic.
She even took to her Instagram to offer a free gift for those who waited to see her.
‘Hey guys I had such a great time at Beautycon,’ she said in a video. ‘Sorry for me being late I didn’t realize I was overbooked. It was crazy, from getting to Vegas to over here [New York].’
She and a representative then offered fans to go at [email protected] for a free gift.

While traveling from Las Vegas, Cardi struck a more stern tone when she responded to a fan on Twitter that called her out for some of the things she posts on social media.
‘I love you ALOT but I don’t agree with the messages you’ve been sending us young girls,’ the fan tweeted. ‘So many of us look at you as a role model and that should send a very loud message.’
Cardi not only explained herself but went a step further and said she has to stay true to herself.
‘For these past two years I been watching what I say and I haven’t been myself. I been feeling trap and sad cause it’s not ME.’
She added: ‘But everybody tell me … to be this ‘rolemodel’ and guess what ? People still spit my past right in my face so for now imma be my old self again.’
Many of Cardi’s followers have since come to the defense of the I Like It rapper.

Bro this is weird. i gave birth to another Hennessy @hennessycarolina,’ she wrote in the caption of a side-bys-de snap of the two at the same age.
