Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk could be set to share a monstrous purse.
Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk could be set to share an eye-watering NINE FIGURE purse for their monstrous undisputed clash.
Fury and Usyk have ‘signed contracts’ for an undisputed showdown in Saudi Arabia, with a December 23 date mooted.
It comes after both parties failed to reach an agreement over terms following prolonged talks earlier this year.
But it appears Fury vs Usyk is back on, with the winner set to be crowned the undisputed world heavyweight champion.
Naturally, both fighters will be paid handsomely as stunning reports claim there could be a staggering £121 million pot, which will be shared.
Saudi Arabian promotions company Skills Challenge Entertainment are prepared to put up a purse in the region of £121 million, according to The Telegraph.
Fury’s UK promoter Frank Warren called Fury vs Usyk the ‘biggest fight’ in the sport.
“This is the biggest fight that could possibly be made in our sport,” he said.
“The heavyweights always spark the imagination of the fans, and I have no doubt this will be the biggest boxing event of the century. I look forward to Tyson reclaiming the three belts that he never lost in the ring. Huge thanks to His Excellency and the GEA.”
