Tyson Fury absolutely destroys punching machine, overtakes Anthony Joshua's record

Tyson Fury has finally made his triumphant return to boxing against perhaps his most formidable opponent yet – a boxing machine.

After calling everyone and their mother out for his return fight the Gypsy King landed on a punch machine to cop the first knockout blow post retirement.

In a video that looks more like a bucks night than a sparring session the WBC champion was filmed absolute laying into the target with some force.

The footage begins with Fury and a bunch of lads celebrating what looks to be a 991 score in unreal scenes.

For reference the machine only goes up to 999, so Fury’s hook was damn near perfect.

But he wasn’t done there, in the midst of the rapturous reaction the undefeated boxer decided to turn around and absolutely leather the machine once again as if the machine has told him that Anthony Joshua was the best fighter.

The group are seen waiting in anticipation as the score ticks over to 993 before breaking out into thunderous scenes.

The kicker? The hook was with his weaker left hand.

Imagine what a full-powered right hook would do to that poor machine.

In comparison, Fury’s major rival Anthony Joshua racked up a score of 848 when he appeared on the Graham Norton show back in 2017.

After easily dispatching of his latest opponent, Fury will be teeing up for his superfight with AJ on December 3.

Earlier this week, AJ’s team confirmed they had accepted all terms offered to them by Tyson Fury’s team for a fight later this yer.

Despite Joshua’s second consecutive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, WBC champion Fury has been vocal about wanting to fight his fellow Brit in a huge bout as opposed to taking on the Ukrainian in a world heavyweight title unification fight.

Joshua-Fury update: 258 and @MatchroomBoxing can confirm, on behalf of @anthonyjoshua, that we accepted all terms presented to us by Fury’s team for a fight Dec 3rd last Friday. Due to the Queen’s passing, it was agreed to halt all communication. We are awaiting a response.

Negotiations have been promising and the latest from AJ’s management, 258MGT, is that they agreed to the terms presented last Friday.

In a statement on Twitter, they say communication was briefly halted due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II but they are awaiting a response.

Fury revealed last week that he was offering his rival a 60/40 purse split in order to make sure there were no excuses and Matchroom Boxing head honcho Eddie Hearn confirmed that proposal was accepted – although that arrangement would be reversed for the rematch.

AJ will be hoping to fair better than the boxing machine when he steps into the ring with the Gypsy King.
