Tommy Fury’s scheduled fight with Paul Bamba is reportedly off.

The 23-year-old was set to face Bamba on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather’s exhibition bout against Deji at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Sunday.

Fury weighed 181lbs on Saturday, 6lbs over the light-heavyweight limit. Bamba claimed at the weigh-in he wanted 20 per cent of Fury’s purse if the fight went ahead due to ‘unfair’ conditions.

Bamba later claimed the fight was off in an interview with Fred Talks Fighting.

The 33-year-old says there were two separate contracts, with both fighters receiving different weight limits. Bamba was quick to stress he didn’t want to ‘place blame’ on any individual.

He explained: “The situation at hand right now as we know it, Global Titans has cancelled my event due to a lack of being able to come to a mutual and amicable agreement.

“I wasn’t given what I wanted, they’ve been telling people they offered me a bunch of things, ultimately when I get home and there’s less to worry about I will be more vocal about this.

“At the end of the day, there were two separate contracts for the weight like I’ve been stating which is not fair. I don’t know whose fault that is, I’m not placing blame on anybody.

“It’s not right. I made weight, I did what I needed to do, I was willing to negotiate and make things happen.”

Bamba then said he’d met John Fury, Tommy’s father, between the Coca-Cola Arena and the hotel where the fighters are staying.

John attempted to negotiate with Bamba but it’s believed a representative of Global Titans, the platform hosting the event, told both men the fight was cancelled.

Fury is currently 8-0 as a professional, with his last win against Daniel Bocianski on the undercard of brother Tyson’s WBC heavyweight title defence over Dillian Whyte in April.

A proposed fight with Jake Paul broke down earlier this year after Fury was unable to enter the United States.

Paul was quick to criticise Fury for failing to make weight for his clash with Bamba on social media.

He wrote: “Tommy Fury…ur getting paid a lot of money to be a professional. But time & time again you show that ur not.

“Missed a fight bc of ‘broken ribs’, missed a fight bc you ‘missed a flight’ & now you miss weight by 7 pounds!

“I feel sorry for Frank & George Warren & the Fury name.”
