Big John Fury told Jake Paul he is in for a “real fight” against Tommy Fury this time and he will be “taken out that room on a stretcher.”
John Fury has issued a brutal callout of Jake Paul ahead of the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s hotly anticipated super-fight with former Love Island star Tommy Fury.
Light-heavyweight Fury, who has won all eight of his professional fights, will clash with Paul in a long-awaited showdown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 26th February.
The 23-year-old British star last fought against Daniel Bocianski on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte last April, with Fury picking up the win on points.
The undefeated Fury was initially slated to face fierce rival Paul in late 2021 before he was forced to pull out of the fight due to an injury.
Fury’s encounter with Paul was rebooked for Madison Square Garden in August 2022, only for the ex-Love Island star to pull out due to US visa-related issues.
Paul, who has become a divisive figure since entering the world of boxing, defeated UFC legend Anderson Silva by unanimous decision on his most recent outing.
Big John, who has trained the WBC champ’s younger brother, ruthlessly slammed the 26-year-old American star’s performance against Silva in October 2022.
Speaking on Instagram (watch it in the video player above), he said: “A quick video to Jake Paul and Co. Jake, you think Tommy’s not gonna show up.
“You’re going to be very disappointed and mistaken because we’re 100 per cent going to be there.
“We can’t wait to get this fight on with you. There’s no way in the world — in this entire world — this fight ain’t gonna happen.
“So, if you’re dreaming in your own little boy’s brain, thinking that we’re not gonna show up and Tommy’s not gonna fight you, mate. Well, you’re gonna be very wrong.
“Be prepared to get taken out [of] that room on a stretcher, my friend, because that’s what’s happening to you.
“You have no chance at all. I don’t give you any chance whatsoever. Not a remote chance, not even a puncher’s chance.
“And your last fight with [Silva] — that fake thing where you missed him, mate, and he fell on the ground — and watched it time and time again on the video.
“[Silva], you missed him, he fell down and got counted out. You’re in a real fight this time […]. So, advice to you, keep them up.”
