Logan Paul has confirmed that negotiations took place for him to fight his brother, Jake, in the wake of Mike Tyson‘s withdrawal from the scheduled bout.

Tyson had been set to face Jake Paul, but has been forced to withdraw as a result of health complications he suffered on a recent flight.

Whilst physicians gave Tyson the all-clear, it would have impacted his training camp too much for the fight to go ahead, leaving Jake without an opponent for the upcoming card.

This is where his brother stepped in and offered to take the fight instead of the former Heavyweight Champion of the World, although it’s unlikely to progress any further than mere talk.

Tyson fight has been rescheduled

The original fight with Iron Mike has now been rescheduled for November 15, putting an end to the possibility of Logan v Jake.

However, the idea was even pitched to Netflix, as Logan shared with former US President Donald Trump on his podcast.

“I was willing to step in for Mike Tyson when Tyson got sick and had to postpone his fight. We actually ran it up the chain at Netflix,” Logan said.

Trump, an ex-boxing promoter, was succinct in his response.

“It’s hard for brothers to fight,” Trump replied.

“Not for Netflix. Not for a big ‘ole bag. Figure it out once and for all. Me and Jake decided that, obviously we both come from a place of love. And whatever the outcome would be, we would have to be okay with it. But obviously, I love my brother,” Logan concluded.

Logan, 29, and Jake, 27, began boxing simultaneously but have since had different career paths. Jake is 9-1 with world title aspirations, his only loss being to Tommy Fury, 25.

Logan has participated in exhibition matches, including a bout against Floyd Mayweather, 47, which went the distance.

His last fight was a disqualification victory over MMA star Dillon Danis, 30. Logan has since focused on WWE, where he is the United States champion, and he will prioritize this over any possible boxing bouts.
