Jake Paul is sure to lap this one up.
WBO cruiserweight world champion Lawrence Okolie had claimed that the internet sensation is a better fighter than most boxers.
The former YouTuber has sure impressed since delving into the world of professional boxing with wins over the likes of Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, and Ben Askren.
And the boxing world is clearly taking notice.
He even spent some time in the gym recently with Lawren Okolie, who is currently a WBO title holder, whilst the pair were in Dubai.
The British boxer shared an image of the two with the caption: “Pleasure sharing the ring with Jake Paul today.”
Unsurprisingly, the boxer got rinsed by some fans in the comments.
One wrote: “Unfollowing any boxer or boxing page that shares this absolute b***end.”
Another said: “F**k sake lad you don’t need this.”
A third added: “Rare Okolie L.”
However, one fans seemed to save their judgement by asking Okolie for his honest assessment of Jake in the ring.
Okolie replied: “He’s better than most boxers – people just hate because of his influencer background…”

I mean, he’s more than likely right.
While he’s not yet fought a professional boxer, it takes quite a bit to stand toe-to-toe in the ring with the likes of a combat legend in Anderson Silva.
Beyond his ability, he brings a whole lot of eyes to the sport which is great for boxing in general.
And while we may all be calling for Paul to stand in the ring with a pro boxer next up, it seems he has other ideas in motion.
Jake Paul and Andrew Tate came face-to-face earlier this week after a flurry of insults directed toward each other.
And it now appears as though the duo will be butting heads in the near future after Paul posted a video of he and Tate squaring up to one another on his social channels.
The duo were inside the boxing ring in the clip, which was shared on Twitter and saw Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions tagged.
The caption, “Negotiations”, would indicate that discussions over a fight are under way.
